4. Predicted final outcome
I 'am going to produce 10
diverse and altered images.
When I’ve taken these
pictures I may also edit
certain entities that will make
their appearance more
enhanced.

5. Reasons for selection of images and
examples of Ansel Adams work
The main reason of my interest in taking
these photographs is to improve on my
techniques of taking images like certain
artists for instance Ansel Adams.
Adams is mainly famous for his
spectacular images of American West
and is also known for his technical skill,
pioneering the zone system method of
exposure and development control. This
is a good example of what edits I will be
using to create that American West
feeling.

6. Reasons for selection of images and
examples of David Hockney’s work
Hockney’s created these photomontage
works mostly between 1970 and 1986.
He referred to them as "joiners". He
began this style of art by taking Polaroid
photographs of one subject and
arranging them into a grid layout. The
subject would actually move while being
photographed so that the piece would
show the movements of the subject
seen from the photographer's
perspective. In later works Hockney
changed his technique and moved the
camera around the subject instead. This
is the main reason Hockney’s work is
inspirational because he was that good
to even make his own style of
photography.

7. Reasons for selection of images and
example of Galen Rowell’s work
Rowell was particularly keen on
seeking out and photographing
optical phenomena in the natural
world. He referred to his landscape
photographs as “dynamic
landscapes,” due to both the fast-
changing nature of light and
conditions and his energetic pursuit
of the best camera position at the
optimal moment. Galen Rowell’s
drive to get the perfect photograph
is why I’m inspired by his work.

8. Camera that will be used
The camera that I will be using is a
DSLR If you have ever tried taking
photographs with a compact camera
with low light, you would have noticed
that the photos never come out well.
This is one of those scenarios where
only a DSLR can help you take
exceptionally sharp photographs.
Therefore, it can safely be said that if
you want complete control over
photograph settings, a DSLR is what
you are looking for.
This camera is of great standard and is
of good shooting quality for my
assignment.

9. Techniques that will be
used and how they will help
convey the visual message
I will use a variety of techniques that will bring
across a personality of some sort within the images.
Then after editing the images you will see the
personality more so.

The Quays, Greater Manchester’s unique waterfront
destination, is situated just 15 minutes from Manchester
City Centre. Bringing together Manchester, Salford and
Trafford to create a hotbed of culture, retail and leisure, it
is one of the best short break hotspots in the UK. Rich in
