1. My name is Francisco Roman,
I am actually working at the Marriott Hotels, as Event Manager, ( Groups and Convetions
Manager) before this position I was like Social Event Manager, however in this position I handle
Groups and Conventions and Corporate Events.. At the beginning I was in Sales Department
which my job was to quote, sell and the operation of the event..
I have the experience more of 10 years in and Groups and Conventions I have handled of type
of Conventions, Corporate Events, and Weddings here in the Hotel, as Hindus ( like 10
weddings ) Jewish ( like 5 ) , Catholics, Christians, Persians, and as well renewal of Vows, and
Anniversaries.. and Big Groups for their Conventions
I Have taken courses regards Groups and Conventions and Weddings (South Asian Weddings) ,
I am actually certified in Wedding Planner by Marriott .. and I have gone to workshops, Expos
and I can share my knowledge given some courses to other People .
I Have the experience to work in Hotels with High Level of Service, since the JW Marriott if 5
Diamonds Hotel and the Marriott CasaMagna is 4 Diamonds, they have showed me and teach
me all the high quality service and training us for give the best service to our Guests.. For this
reason I have been appointed for a lot of guest in Trip Advisor and here at the hotel I have
been recognized for my excellent service to our Guests..
I have the experience for sales and for operations as well, and for handling all the coordination
of events since the guests are quoting until the operation in order to guide them and make easy
the planning process to them and at the end they have a successful event and they can return
with us, or recommend to us as well for events.. I Have handled events of 2 persons (weddings
just for 2) until events of 1000 persons that is the maximum capacity of our ballroom at the JW
Marriott. I have all the experience to try with all types of Guests and make sure they are very
comfortable during their stay and the process of their events..
I have worked with the best vendors of Cancun and the region which provide the same level of
service as the hotel In order to guarantee the best experience of our guests.. In the process of
the event we have meeting with them and the clients and they can meet our vendors and get
involved for their event and follow up with their needs,. I have to make sure they are following
them and the client is satisfied with them..
For all my experience I have gone to other Marriott Properties, ( Aruba, Caracas, JW Marriott
Mexico City ) to support them and share my experience and knowledge with them for a
minimum of 3 months
2. With all this experience, knowledge and high level of service that I have been learning during
those years I would like to work in one of the best Luxury Hotels as yours-
I Think one of my strongest strengths is my character to handled of kind of persons and be
proactive for them .. And I love what I do …
