3. VERTEBRATES Vertebrates have a skeleton inside them. An important part of this skeleton is the BACKBONE . Most vertebrates have a HEAD , a TRUNK , LIMBS and a TAIL.
4. MAMMALS VERTEBRATES Mammals usually have hair or fur on their bodies. Most mammals have got four legs. Many mammals have also got a tail.
5. BIRDS VERTEBRATES Birds have got feather on their bodies. They have two legs and two wings. Most birds can fly. Some birds can swim.
6. REPTILES VERTEBRATES Reptiles have got scales on their bodies. Many reptiles have got four legs and a tail. Snakes haven't got legs. And turtles have got a shell.
7. FISH VERTEBRATES Fish have got scales on their bodies. They've also got fins and a tail. They swim in water.
8. AMPHIBIANS VERTEBRATES Amphibians have got smooth skin on their bodies. Most of them have got four legs. Salamanders have also got a tail.
