creativity, clarity of
communication, and continuous
cognitive development.
• Are most effective when used
together as tools in response to
the purpose of the learning target,
outcome, or performance task.
• Support interactive and efficient
construction of knowledge.

• In pairs, brainstorm
possible uses of
graphic organizers
in class.
• Complete the five-
bubble organizer
with your ideas.
• Share your work
with your peers.

Rubric.
• In pairs, read the
document quickly and
choose two uses of
graphic organizers that
may be feasible to
implement in your classes.
• Share your choices with
the class.

Peer discussion and demonstration
• Take the graphic organizer
booklet provided by the
presenter.
• Browse through the booklet
and choose one graphic
organizer you would like to
try in your classes.
• Turn to your peer at your
right and explain how you
would use the chosen
graphic organizer.
• Draw the graphic organizer
on the chart paper and
demonstrate its use.
