Our very first segment on Fashion tete-a-tete is with someone who calls herself
a weekend fashion blogger. Jenny’s bicycle as her blog is popularly known as,
has in a short span of 2 years made a mark for itself as one of the most visited

2. Jenny’s Bicycle! Now that’s a curious name. What made you choose it?
Jenny’s Bicycle is the name of a poem I once wrote as a child. I no longer have that poem. But I can tell
you that it was all about a girl who wanted to make everything beautiful. So when she had her first
bicycle, she made sure it looked its best every day. The bicycle meant a lot to her. The bicycle looked so
good that it made a fashion statement wherever Jenny went.
What led to your interest in Fashion Blogging?
I like clothes, style, trends etc. So my friends suggested to
me that it won’t be a bad idea if I maintained an online
journal about fashion. I thank my friends for the idea
because the blog gives me happiness. The way a post
turns out, the response it gets, it is great.
What does Fashion mean to you?
For me fashion is who I am. The way I dress up says a lot
about me expressing an array of emotions- anger, lazy,
laidback, fierce, happy, lucky…
If you had to define your personal fashion style in 3
words, what would they be?
Casual, androgynous, rock chic.
What according to you are the 3 hot spring 2014 fashion trends?
Sorbet colours, sheer, flats (yes they are being
offered by brands in their best forms these days,
they are not a threat to the good old heels yet,
but they have made a remarkable comeback for
sure)
Which is your favourite online shopping
destination and why?
Bhane, Koovs, Done By None. For international
websites, asos keeps me hooked.
While on the subject of fashion, you do you think is the biggest fashion icon of our times?
3. Alexa Chung
What would be your personal favourites if
you were to name 3 drool worthy fashion
brands?
Zara, Forever 21, Marks & Spencer
What is your shopping strategy?
To buy what would uplift my mood and not
someone else’s.
What are the 5 Essentials of woman's
wardrobe?
It can be different for everyone. According
to me it should include a) a few pairs of
cool, if possible distressed jeans, b) Some
essential sling bags in black and brown c) a
pair of sunglasses d) a white shirt/t shirt, e)
beige underwear
Finally, the one thing that makes your
fashion blog special:
Originality.
