More audio and video tools… Besides podcasts, which are very popular nowadays, there are other web 2.0 audio tools like: Skype , Voicethread , Snapvine , and video tools like: You Tube o Google Video .These tools are all very friendly and easy to use. They can be embedded in Wikis, Blogs and any other Web 2.0 site.

7. Now, let’s practice! Create a podcast with Audacity and publish it on Podbean

9. Creating an audio file with Audacity What do we need? Downloading the free version of Audacity 1.2.6 or 1.3 Beta (Unicode) and having the lame.dll file.

10. First, get familiar with Audacity tools and go to Edit > Preferences

11. In preferences, click on channels and select 1 (Mono) and accept

12. Click on the mic icon and select vertical stereo

13. Start by clicking on the record button

14. To save your project, click on File > Export

15. Name and tag your audio file, and click on Accept.

16. The file will be saved as MP3 Be aware of the folder it is being saved.

17. Your MP3 file is ready, yeah!!!! Now let’s upload it to Podbean

18. Uploading your podcast to Podbean…

19. …from your PC.

20. Listen to your podcast and edit it, if necessary.

21. Copy and paste the embed code into your Blog or Wiki.
