2. Front cover
I think this photo
of Emily is the
best for the front
cover as she’s
looking directly
into the lens and
so seems to be
looking at the
audience. This
will entice
readers to buy the
the magazine as
it’s interesting
and more intimate
than the other
images.
Another reason
that I chose this
image i that it
has a glitter
background and was
taken in a club.
This adds to the
star quality of
the model and
again is
interesting to a
reader who is
often used to a
plain colour
background on a
front cover.
3. Contents page
I shall use these
images on my
contents page as
hey show a variety
of shot angles and
are all compelling
in their own
right.
They are also
relevant to the
genre and link to
pages referenced in
the contents. The
models look like a
range of different
artists which was my
aim.
4. Double page spread
This image was
chosen for the
double page spread
because I thought
that a medium
close up shot
would be best. his
is due to the fact
that the article
is bout this
particular artist
and therefore a
more intimate shot
type is necessary
for an audience to
feel like they’re
getting to know
the artist
personally.
Another reason for
this image being
chosen is that the
background is a
Smurf graffitied
on the wall. This
is urban and found
in Brighton which
is where the
artist is from.
This is relevant
to the indie/
alternative genre
and adds a hint of
colour to the
double page spread
which attracts
more of the
audience.
