In first turn, after approving our project proposal, we search the history and all the other
information that can be availed on internet. Then we prepared the questions and meet with
MR.Arslan Khokhar, who is the shift manager of PIZZA HUT.

INTRODUCTION
PIZZA is basically an Italian dish. The legacy of Pizza Hut began in 1958, when
two college students from Wichita, Kansas, Frank and Dan Carney, were
approached by a family friend with the idea of opening a pizza parlor. Although
the concept was relatively new to many Americans at that time, the brothers
quickly saw the potential of this new enterprise. After one year they open 10
more branches in different cities of America.
After borrowing $600 from their mother, they purchased some second-hand
equipment and rented a small building on a busy intersection in their home-
town. The result of their entrepreneurial efforts was the first Pizza Hut
restaurant, and the foundation for what would become the largest and most
successful pizza restaurant company in the world.
Over the past four decades pizza hut have built a reputation for excellence that
has earned us the respect of consumers and industry experts alike. Our products
have been voted Number One in countless consumer surveys nationwide. And
our accomplishments as an innovative business leader have been cited by such
respected publications as Restaurant Business, Fortune and The Wall Street
Journal.
Pizza Hut, Inc., a division of Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc., has more than
7,200 units in the U.S. and 3,000 units in more than 86 other countries.
While they were improving their hotel and writing the name on board. The
board had a little space, after writing Pizza to accommodate only 8 letters. The
roof was like a hut. They write hut there. After one year they open 10 more
branches in different cities.
Pizza Hut franchisees, for example, exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit which
launched the system back in 1958. Through their interest and initiative, the
Pizza Hut system was able to develop new territories both in the United States
and overseas.
Tricon is the parent company to two other segment leaders, Taco Bell and KFC.
When combined with Pizza Hut, these organizations make up the world's largest
restaurant group, with almost twice as many units as McDonald's.

When it comes to leadership our proactive approach to product development
and marketing provides ample evidence of our abilities. Beginning with the
original thin crust pizza first served in 1958, Pizza Hut has made continuing
efforts to refine our products, and to develop new products suited to every
consumer taste.
Today, our five major products, Pan Pizza, Thin 'N Crispy pizza, Hand-Tossed
Style pizza, Stuffed Crust Pizza and The Big New Yorker Pizza are loved by
millions around the world and have become the standard by which all others are
judged.
We are working together to run great restaurants in order to be the best at
making and serving the best pizza in America. That means we're willing and
able to go to any lengths to make our customer's experience with Pizza Hut an
enjoyable one. And it means we strive to present the finest products the
industry has to offer, and to provide those products wherever and whenever
people want them.
Yes, we've come a long way since that opening night back in 1958 when pizzas
were given away to generate interest in the fledgling business. And through the
strength of our heritage, our culture and our people, we look forward to even

History in PAKISTAN
In PAKISTAN, the first branch of Pizza hut was opened in 1993 in Clifton
Karachi.
It is the franchiser of MCR (MANZAR CORNAY RIAZ) (PVT) LTD, that is now
owned by Habib Oil.
MANZAR RIAZ was the first person who franchise the Pizza hut.
Second branch was opened in LAHORE on M.M Alam road in 1996.
In FAISALABD, it was opened on 10th
OCT, 2003.
Overall it has 25 branches in all over the country.
COMPETITIVE EDGE
Pizza hut has a competitive edge on other competitors that is provide services
to its customers.
It has also takeaway/ restaurants at railway station Lahore and Fortress
Stadium. Other competitors do not provide services to the customers at their
restaurants. Self service is provided in all other restaurants.

measures to increase the satisfaction. In Ramadan, we arrange “iftaar”.
We fix a particular area for smoking people.

Working Hours & Conditions:
In compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes and industry standards,
PIZZA HUT are expected to ensure that their employees have safe and healthy
working conditions and reasonable daily and weekly work schedules. Employees
should not be required to work more than the number of hours allowed for
regular and overtime work periods under applicable local, state and federal
law.

while making and passing the pizza to the waiter. They must wear gloves
to keep food germs free n hygienic to eat
• The glass in which drinks are being offered are made up of plastic material
which can be hazardous to health so pizza hut must use paper instead of
plastic in the making of disposable items which customers use while they
dine in or take away.

• Service, which is being provided at pizza hut, seems to be tip oriented. The
customer who gives tip is served in a better way than the one who don’t do
it. This issue can be resolved if tip-taking is banned
• The disposal is directly thrown in to the bin which has a proper system of
disposal but the left over can be utilized by feeding them to animals which
can eat the leftovers and this strategy can be financial beneficial for pizza
hut.
• Pizza hut must work for the welfare of society as society is generating
everything for pizza hut. This can be done in a social awareness events in
which some sales being on made by that day donated to society for a social
welfare cause.

The legacy of Pizza Hut began in 1958, when two college students from Wichita, Kansas, Frank and Dan Carney, were approached by a family friend with the idea of opening a pizza parlor. Although the concept was relatively new to many Americans at that time, the brothers quickly saw the potential of this new enterprise. After one year they open 10 more branches in different cities of America. After borrowing $600 from their mother, they purchased some second-hand equipment and rented a small building on a busy intersection in their home- town. The result of their entrepreneurial efforts was the first Pizza Hut restaurant, and the foundation for what would become the largest and most successful pizza restaurant company in the world. Over the past four decades pizza hut have built a reputation for excellence that has earned us the respect of consumers and industry experts alike. Our products have been voted Number One in countless consumer surveys nationwide. And our accomplishments as an innovative business leader have been cited by such respected publications as Restaurant Business, Fortune and The Wall Street Journal. Pizza Hut, Inc., a division of Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc., has more than 7,200 units in the U.S. and 3,000 units in more than 86 other countries. While they were improving their hotel and writing the name on board. The board had a little space, after writing Pizza to accommodate only 8 letters. The roof was like a hut. They write hut there. After one year they open 10 more branches in different cities. Pizza Hut franchisees, for example, exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit which launched the system back in 1958.   • 10. History in PAKISTAN In PAKISTAN, the first branch of Pizza hut was opened in 1993 in Clifton Karachi. It is the franchiser of MCR (MANZAR CORNAY RIAZ) (PVT) LTD, that is now owned by Habib Oil. MANZAR RIAZ was the first person who franchise the Pizza hut. Second branch was opened in LAHORE on M.M Alam road in 1996. In FAISALABD, it was opened on 10th OCT, 2003. Overall it has 25 branches in all over the country. COMPETITIVE EDGE Pizza hut has a competitive edge on other competitors that is provide services to its customers. It has also takeaway/ restaurants at railway station Lahore and Fortress Stadium. Other competitors do not provide services to the customers at their restaurants. Self service is provided in all other restaurants. 10

These issues can be resolved by some attention and ethical measures 1. Lack on time payment scheduling to suppliers and vendors 2. Lack of parking space 3. Lack of training courses of chef 4. Lack of healthy and comfortable work place 5. Lack of proper cooking kit 6. Lack of proper disposable material being used 7. Lack of service providing 8. Lack proper disposal of leftovers and waste materials 9. Lack of social and welfare work for sake of society Suggestions and recommendations • Payment schedule can be done on time as per commitment otherwise it will harm the image and positing of pizza hut by managing the out flows and inflows properly and withdraw payment of vendor a day before of due payment date. • They must hire a separate parking space which is adjacent to pizza hut so that the vehicle which is being parked at roadside don’t create any barrier towards the flow of traffic. • Chefs who are working at pizza hut are not provided with the cooking course, which is creating a barrier towards their talent and growth. If they offer them with these courses they can certainly enhance the quality and taste of the product which is being provided to the customer. This will certainly add a lot to the worth and loyalty of customer and organization. • Workplace atmosphere must be comfortable and healthy but according to the current manage at pizza hut Multan it don’t matches the criteria. Creating a temperature control system in kitchen, which will make it comfortable to work in for cooking staff, can enhance this. • According to our current observation the cook lacks proper cooking kit while making and passing the pizza to the waiter. They must wear gloves to keep food germs free n hygienic to eat • The glass in which drinks are being offered are made up of plastic material which can be hazardous to health so pizza hut must use paper instead of plastic in the making of disposable items which customers use while they dine in or take away. 32

This issue can be resolved if tip-taking is banned • The disposal is directly thrown in to the bin which has a proper system of disposal but the left over can be utilized by feeding them to animals which can eat the leftovers and this strategy can be financial beneficial for pizza hut. • Pizza hut must work for the welfare of society as society is generating everything for pizza hut. This can be done in a social awareness events in which some sales being on made by that day donated to society for a social welfare cause. 33
