3. The capital of Poland is Warsaw. Poland is divided into 16 parts.
4. Katowice – is the capital of Upper Silesia. It is an industrial city with coal mines.
5. That isn’t UFO but modern sports hall built in 1971. This is the place where a lot of diffrent cultural and sports events take place.
6. In our city a large number of music festivals, concerts and sport competitions take place. The one of the most popular is OFF Festival organised by Artur Rojek- the leader of Myslovitz band.
7. And this is building of the Silesian Theatre which invites many famous artists. Performances are based on plays of talented authors e.g Moliere or Fredro.
8. Katowice is also a short lesson of history. You can find here historic suburbs like Nikiszowiec.
9. We have our traditions and we are famous for hospitality and great fun. We have our own dances, songs and costiumes.
10. Typical silesian dinner is ‘rosół’ (a chicken and vegetables soup), ‘rolada’ with ‘kluski’ and ‘modra kapusta’ (stuffed, rolled beef and dumplings and red cabbage). Katowice website
