With these Web parts SharePoint administrtors can quickly build ESP-based search sites in SharePoint Server 2007 by simply dropping in and configuring the appropriate Web parts.

Install FASTESP Web parts
1. Unzip FASTESPWebParts.zip
2. Run Setup.exe
3. Click Next
2. 4.
5. After System Check is complete, click Next
6. Accept the EULA, and click Next
7. Choose the web application where you want the Web Parts installed and click Next
3. 8. The WebPart installation will start:
9. Click Next after the installation is
complete
4. 10. Click Close. The WebParts are successfully installed
Activate FASTESP Web Parts
Go to you Share Point Web application, and make sure you have permission to modify site settings.
Click “Site Actions” and choose “Site SettingsModify All Site Settings”.
Click on “Site collection features” in the “Site Collection Administration” column.
Click “Activate” for the ESP Search Web Parts.
5. Verify the installation
Go to a new page, for example the default search center.
Click “Site Actions” and select “Edit Page”.
Click “Add a Web Part”. If you can select a Web Part from “ESP Search WebParts” from the menu the
installation is complete and successful.
6. Troubleshooting
The installer gives and error “The Windows SharePoint Services Administration service is NOT
started!”.
- Make sure the service is started. Start “Computer Management”, and click services. Make
sure the “status” of “Windows SharePoint Services Administration” is started. If it is not in
“status” started, right click on the service and select start.
Uninstall FASTESP Web parts
Go to the folder where you unpacked the distribution. Start “setup.exe”
Click “Next”
The installer will run a system check. The installer should detect that the FASTESP Web Parts are
installed. Click “Next”
Chose “Remove” to uninstall the Web Parts and click “Next”
The installer will now proceed to uninstall the Web Parts.
