3. Passenger information system
TRAFI was initially set up as a Transit app, combining time tables and GPS
locations of all modes of transport in one clear application.
With three main areas, the app acts as an assistant to frequent transit users and
newcomers to a city:
• Search offers passengers a way to find their way across town in the most
convenient way using Public Transport, using scheduling that is optimised by
our proprietary learning algorithms.
• Schedules shows the time tables of all modes of transport in a clear overview,
including a handy overview of the options departing from the passengers
“nearest stops”. These timetables can be downloaded for offline use;
• News shows updates on specific routes that are shared by our users.
TRAFI has gained the #1 position amongst
all transportation apps in Istanbul and the Baltic
states, fully on it’s own merit.

4. Route search
Ideal for occasional trips, route search offers passengers multi-
modal options to travel through public transport
to a specific destination.
• Using real-time information to show which buses are nearby
• Showing news updates that are applicable to that route to
make users aware of traffic issues
• Using scheduling that is optimized through our unique
statistical analysis and real-time information
• Learning from user preferences
Route search is now also available offline, to reduce
network reliance for passengers

5. Schedules
Great for finding regular routes when you know which transport
to take, or when you want to see the schedule of a nearby stop,
TRAFI offers a structured and informed overview of the
accurate bus schedules.
• Showing vehicle arrivals based on real-time information
• Showing applicable news updates and statistically relevant
updates inside the schedule

6. News
Through the news section, passengers can send
and receive updates that are relevant to specific
journeys on the bus.
• Monitored by TRAFI to validate the updates and to
reroute other passengers.

TRAFI has evolved into a serious player in Agency Information System provision
• APIs and widgets: through our modern API family we offer real-time reliable
insight directly into our data warehouse, powering widgets on agency websites and
partner apps, arrival prediction displays at retail locations, and even offers
corrected GTFS feeds to our partners.
• Real-time dashboards: our unique analytical data approach provides the most
accurate view on vehicle speed, route, prediction accuracy and popularity of routes
(at times of day/week), which we make available through cloud-based dashboards.
This can power a full cloud-based control centre.
• GPS Tracker system using off-the-shelf GPS trackers, TRAFI has allowed

public transport into websites, from the full search widget
used by IstanbulUlasim.com (Istanbul Metro) to “travel here
with TRAFI” buttons that can be placed on any website.
