Mardi Gras is a French carnival celebration that takes place the week before Lent and the day before Ash Wednesday. It is a movable celebration that marks the end of carnival season and is most famously celebrated in Nice, France with flower parades, cardboard masks, and floral floats representing the colors of violet, gold, and green which symbolize justice, power, and faith.
