Letter of Recommendation for Dovilė Gedvilaitė
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dovilė Gedvilaitė has been a student at the 2 year Master of Applied Cultural Analysis programme at
the Department of Arts & Cultural Sciences, division of European Ethnology, Lund University. As a
teacher I have both seen Dovile’s work in classes and seminars as well as tutoring her on an applied
project in the course Fieldwork and Project Management her internship (full 10 weeks internship) at
Healthy Marketing Team, working with the project Digest Innovation. I have also been the tutor of her
Master thesis.
During all different tasks, Gedvilaitė has completed her work with excellent results. She is an
ambitious person that completes her tasks within the given time frame. She is responsive to feed back,
always willing to improve her work. Whilst working with applied cultural analysis, an analytical
approach characteristic for the tradition of our department, Gedvilaitė has shown strength in collecting
material through ethnographic fieldwork, and compiling and analyse it with cultural theory. She also
has a very good knowledge of the research field food and innovation. Her work with the project
“Digest innovation” aiming to improve the innovation capacity within established structures have been
widely acknowledged both within the university and with the business partners.
I definitely recommend Dovilė Gedvilaitė for innovation projects and as an applied cultural analyst.
Yours Sincerely,
Håkan Jönsson
