If you manage people at work likely as not you won’t need to be reminded that dealing with problem people  at work can often leave even the best manager in hot  water simply for trying to do their job. In these situations emotion is understandable but not acceptable as it will cloud judgement.
In any difficult situation buying yourself time is essential to allow you to make well crafted decisions.
