Sept 06 – Dec 06 Support Engineer for NTS ME responsible for the set up of a
repair and maintenance facility for oil related equipment in
Dubai Jebil Ali Free Zone.
April 06 –Sept 06 Support Engineer for Icetech Freezers Limited, Castletown,
Caithness responsible for the repair and maintenance of mould tools
and ancillary equipment. When required general factory maintenance.
2002 – 2006 Quality Manager for Norfrost Technologies responsible for the
introduction of a process management software system to increase the
company’s scope of activity and compliance with ISO 9001:2000.
The introduction and implementation of registration and compliance to
the American Petroleum Institutions Q1 quality system,
Responsible for monitoring and preparing life time Quality Records
and Handover Documentation for bespoke equipment for the Nuclear

1999 – 2002 Toolroom Supervisor for Norfrost Technologies the engineering
section of Norfrost Ltd a world leader in the manufacture of domestic
and commercial freezers.
Responsible for the day to day running of a fast moving manufacture
and repair subcontract workshop involved with the welding /
fabrication and precision machining of down hole drilling equipment
for the oil related industry. Repair and maintenance of production

moulds and press tools and deputising for the Engineering Manager in
his absence.
1998 – 1999 Production Supervisor for Environmental Hygiene Products based in
Tain Ross Shire Scotland responsible for the introduction of
production improvements in the manufacture of fabricated industrial
bins supplied to the NHS nation wide.I was also responsible for the
day to day administration and maintenance of the factory unit.
1996 – 1998 Assistant Component Manufacturing Manager for Tarka Controls
Inverness, responsible for assisting in the day to day running of the
section involving the production of five to six million plastic injection
mouldings and pressed parts each week. Attending and reporting to
design and development meetings, simultaneous engineering and
quality improvement seminars and meetings on a regular basis.
1990 – 1996 Technical Supervisor and tooling co-ordinator for Tarka Controls,
Inverness I was responsible for introducing a high volume metal
cutting press shop to the site. My responsibility after the introduction
period was to ensure the efficient operation of the unit i.e., scheduling
and prioritising workload and machine time, tool and machine
maintenance and sourcing personnel and equipment.
1975 – 1990 Involved with the maintenance and repair of high volume production
equipment, P.L.C robotics, bowl feeders, linear feeders, all types of
indexing units etc. Involved in the design and manufacture of fully and
semi automated production tooling and equipment at various sites,
Strix in I.O.M, Montgomery Thermostats N.Wales, Otter Controls
Derbyshire, St Davids Assemblies, S.Wales.
1971 – 1975 Toolmaking Apprenticeship served with Otter Controls Ltd based in
Buxton Derbyshire a world leader in the manufacturer of thermostatic
controls for motor vehicle and domestic business.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
My main hobby is playing golf whenever the opportunity arises. I also enjoy fishing

Main Duties:
Health and Safety
 Promote safe working practices for all direct staff by setting the example.
 Be active to promote awareness of risk throughout the department.
 Ensure that PPE is correctly maintained
 Know where the nearest Fire Exit is and where the nearest First Aid box is located. Ensure that the full Inspection Team
is aware of this information.
 Ensure that any safety devices have clear sign of sheets and that any written record of their testing is maintained.
 Take responsibility for employee Health & Safety and for ensuring that the appropriate management duty of care is
exercised.
 Ensure that monthly H&S Meetings are attended and follow up actions concluded.
 When working in areas away from the inspection area that all of the above is understood to the same level of detail.
 Be proactive in approach to supporting the onsite EHS Program (Risk Assessments etc.)
 Comply with all training requirements as per EHS program
Quality Management
 Support the interface between inspection and production for the successfulstrip ,repair and rebuild of gas and dual

fuel turbines. Support Advanced Parts Manufacture with testing criteria and feedback on trials to owners.
 Develop and maintain effective day to day quality control processes to identify out-of-control situations and when
required, to support production with rapid containment and corrective actions.
 Ensure that the various inspection functions have clear objectives and measurable performance criteria.
 Provide regular and concise reporting regarding the status of inspection function and process conformance to the
operations manager and other relevant members of the site management team.
 Maintain visual performance data within the inspection department and ensure continuous feedback and
communication to relating to cause,effect, and action.
 Develop and manage effective strategies and processes for the calibration of laboratory production measuring
instruments as per ISO or otherstipulated requirements.
 Comply with all training requirements as per Quality program
