OBJECTIVE
To obtain a position with a progressive organization where my education, experience and
passion for providing quality services will add value to the Organization.
WORK EXPERIENCE
PowerGrid Corporation of India -: HR Supervisor August 2009 – Current
Power Grid, is considered to be among the largest power transmissions utilities in the world.
This Corporation wheels about 45% of the total power generated in the country on its
transmission network. It has a pan India presence with around 71,500 circuit km of
transmission network and 120 installed sub-stations with a total transmission capacity of
79,500 MVA.
My role, contribution and Achievements at Power Grid
On Training and Development front:
 Preparation and finalization of Training Need Analysis (TNA) of the employees across
executives, junior engineers and workmen.
 A combination of technical and behavioural programmes have led to better employer-
employee relations, achieving and maintaining the constant AC & DC outages in
Southern India, helping employees get promoted as well.
 Instrumental in achieving the target of 6 mandaysfor 3 consecutive years training 636
employees for 3816 mandays.
 I have played a key role along with my Manager to get faculties from reputed consulting
& training companies such as Randstad, Covey Institute,IISc, CPRI, MDI Gurgaon, and
IIM’s for specialised trainings exclusively designed for the executive cadre employees.
 The special programmes that were conducted to name a few were viz., “Emerging
Technologies in EHV/UHV in India”, Project Management, “7 Habits of Highly Effective
People” from the reputed institutes above exclusively for executives.
 110 executives from the Southern Region were trained in the above mentioned
programmes. The executives trained in these programmes have majorly contributed in
the milestone achievement in Indian Power Scenario by creating a Smart Grid and
Smart City at Pondicherry in a time span of 13 months because of the training provided.
 Responsible to make the exclusive training and development centre get a National
Accreditation from the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India with minimum supervision.
Grievance handling and settlement of claims:
 I have played a vital role in the developing of a grievance redressal mechanism for the
Southern Region workforce. Historically there was no structured method for gathering,
analyzing and resolving of various grievances aired by the workforce.
 As part of a new process, I have created a database using which HR Officials at the
Corporation can easily track the nature, volume and status of complaints received.
 The above process has greatly benefitted the Workman category families, who died
while on official duty e.g. erection of towers, emergency restoration and other work
related accidents were provided the compensation / dues without any undue delay,
based on the tracking mechanism that I developed.
 The turnaround time for each case logged into the tracking system was 5 days. On an
average 10 workmen grievances are recorded in a month.
 Till date around 207 workmen and their families have been benefitted. The settlements
were mainly death relief payments, PF’s and settling claims as entitled in the company
policy.

Project Title:
Comparative study on Companiespolicies concerning women employees.
Project site: Manufacturing Unitof a leading Multi-national.
Project Description
Being in the manufacturing sector, this company had a total workforce of 1200
employees, 30% of who were women. As part of the organization study, the Project
Team recommended additional focus on the employee’s grievance redressal and
complaints mechanisms. Initial study indicated scope for improvement in the areas of
design & implementation of the Company’s policies towards women employees.
Following were some of the salient recommendations made to the Company
Management by me:
a) Attrition rate among women workers can be arrested by improved communication
on the Company’s policies.
b) Appropriate operational controls to be installed at the Middle Management level to
ensure proper procedural support for the policies.
c) A robust mechanism to be installed for women workers to share their grievances /
apprehensions without the fear of retribution.
d) Provide better infrastructure for women who are managing dual roles as in managing
families and their work by allowing flexi - hours working, working offline, work from
home- as this would make them feel strongly connected to the company.
e) Ensure adequate women representations in policy making committees.
