Following the devastation of
Supertyphoon Haiyan, residents
of Tacloban City, Philippines,

other necessities. Relief
agencies such as WFP have
mobilized food supplies and use
logistics expertise to reach
hundreds of thousands of the
needy.
The U.N. agency flew in
fortified high-energy biscuits
from Dubai to feed the typhoon
victims. Because they are light
to transport and require no
cooking, these biscuits are the
food products of choice during
early days of a disaster.
