4. JOB DISCRIPTION
• Provide quality service to clients for trouble free oil and gas drilling on both onshore and offshore.
• Preparing drilling fluids as per client's drilling program and execute the same during drilling oil and gas wells.
• Treating mud to maintain the properties as per with the mud program during drilling operations.
• Testing of mud (drilling fluid-WBM or SOBM) frequently during drilling to monitor closely any changes in the mud
properties.
• Regular mud checks to maintain appropriate mud properties during drilling to minimize problems like cavings, lost
circulation, tight pull, stuck pipe, increase in ECD etc and maximize rate of penetration and hole cleaning during
drilling.
• Maintain mud properties and treating the same to optimize the result and reduce complication during operations like
well cementation, coring and displacement.
• Close monitoring of the active pits system to check any gain or loss of mud during drilling and tripping operations.
• Managing pits and mixing of drilling fluids chemicals. Pre-planning, mixing mud and managing pit system during
operations like displacement and cementing.
• Had sound knowledge & working experience on hydraulic calculations, drilling techniques (conventional / advance)
drilling rig equipments and components both Kelly type rig and top drive system .
• Maintaining operational cost during well drilling and also well completion.
• Maintaining logistics of chemicals for both onshore and offshore operations.
• Responsible for making daily drilling fluids report and submitting to Client's representative.
• Preparing and updating entire well operation summary at the end of well. Preparing also well recap report like volume
accounting, products with cost as per Client's requirement.

• Dec 2007 –June 2008 worked at BG mud plant – Versaclean/Versatol system
• July 2010- September 2010 worked at Schlumberger ONGC mud plant - Rheliant system
• Feb 2012- March 2012 worked at GSPC Mud plant- Versaclean system
Job Responsibilities on Mud Plant:
.
• Mixing SOBM, Brines as per parameters requested by rigs.
• Reconditioning Backload SOBM received from rig for further use next time.
• Inventory Management for Chemicals on location & also order required chemicals from warehouse.
• Run complete Mud Checks for fresh SOBM mixed and also on backload SOBM received from rig before it is
reconditioned for reuse.
• Attend Operations meeting every morning being held in Operator’s premises with all other services companies & plan
daily Mud plant operation accordingly.
• Daily LMP Report to Project Engineer as well as to Operator Company.
Faced Problems like Gas kicks, Oil Kicks, Water Kicks, Mud Losses, Stuck pipe, Cavings, etc
