16. Irish Companies on Twitter

17. It can improve your business

about your brand • Advertise your company

(twitter.com/saplistens) and updates

18. Enterprise advice before you start
• Where are your customers and what social media tools
are they using: Radian6 and Techrigy’s SM2 offer tools
to assist with this. You can use these tools to identify
who specifically are the social media influencers that
talk about your brand, your industry, and your
competition and you can plan to engage them on a
more personal level.
• CoTweet is another web-based Twitter client built for
the enterprise. It offers multi-user and multi-profile
support, and integrated Bit.ly reporting. CoTweet is
used by Jet Blue, Sun Microsystems, Starbucks, Whole
Foods, and even Twitter itself.
19. Enterprise advice before you start
• http://tweetburner.com/ -check your URL
analytics
• http://www.twtmailer.com/ - check who is
retweeting you
• TweetVolume : Enter keywords and a graph
will be built showing the frequency of the
keywords. It’s great for seeing how often your
company is referred to versus competitors or
doing a buzzword trend analysis.
20. Enterprise advice before you start-
build community
• • Twitter search – This is the only search function
actually hosted by Twitter. It’s extremely easy to use
and offers comprehensive results.
• TwellowTwellow – An application similar to Twitter
search except that you can search by categories
(which makes results more targeted).
• TwitDir – I like TwitDir because it offers a search
function and breaks Twitter users into categories like
the top 100 people followed and top 100 updaters.
•A more recent addition worth checking out is the
Twitter people directory, WeFollowWeFollow
27. Export to CV using “Friend or Follow”
Create a CSV file with your
followers or those whom
you follow with
friendorfollow.com and use
Excel’s sort and search
functions to learn quite a bit
about those people. You can
filter by their location,
keywords in their bios, etc.
You can do the same on
LinkedIn
30. It’s going to get a lot more interesting!
• Facebook has launched a new Twitter app
• Microsoft and Google are indexing twits
• Microsoft has launched Vine in beta
• Twitter will launch soon professional services,
business applications and a self monetising
platform soon!
• The market for real time relevancy has only
begun
31. Get creative!
• Finding Tweeter bloggers:
– PR inposttitle:"on twitter" OR inposttitle:"follow
me" twitter
• Finding candidates bios:
– site:twitter.com "bio * engineer" -careers ireland |
dublin
34. Format
• Please break into groups of 5
• Please separate from colleagues you work with
• 30 second intro from everyone – Company, Title,
Industry Speciality
• Round robin approach where everyone gets 2
minutes to speak and then a free for all
• Can I ask one volunteer to be chair for the
discussion and decide when to move the Musical chairs
conversation on and one volunteer for scribe.
• Be respectful to the audience and do not sell
your products or services inappropriately (use
your business cards to talk offline)
• At the end the chairman speak for a minute on
what salient points you’d like to share
35. Questions
Good News Stories, Facts or Figures: What positive news

fee placements. How long will the recession go on?

responding to the flood of CVs now coming their way!
