OVERVIEW
3. INTRO
Over the course of the home buying process, you will ask thousands of
questions and receive answers that may spark even more questions. Asking
the right questions will give you the important information you need to make a
truly informed decision.
After all, an educated buyer makes the whole process smoother for everyone
involved.

4. THE
LOCATION
How is the property zoned?
How is the neighborhood?
What is crime like in the neighborhood?
Are any new buildings, homes or streets
going to be built soon?
06
5. THE
PROPERTY
How much do utilities cost?
How much are the property taxes?
Has there ever been any criminal activity
associated with the property?
When was the last time major updates
were done to the house?
What problems, if any, does the house
come with?
What comes with the property? (Ex:
window treatments, fire pit, shed)

7. THE
SELLER
How long has the property been on the
market?
How many times has the price changed,
and why?
Why is the property owner selling?
When does the seller want to move?
Does the seller have documentation for
major systems?
How many offers have been made on the
property?

of sellers were assisted by a real estate agent when
selling their home.*

Often the source of the answer to your questions will be
another Realtor. Don't be afraid to ask your Realtor to
speak with the seller's agent to get the answers you need.

9. CONCLUSION
Many online sources provide information on available properties, but they
never give you the whole picture. Get the answers you deserve before you
make an offer.
Remember, you're the buyer. It is your job, with the help of your Realtor, to
ask the tough questions. And you hold the power to walk away if you don't like
the answers.
