I am writing a letter to personally recommend David Beardsley for the position for which he is applying.
I have worked with Dave both via the PTC technical committees and as a subcontractor for the past 15-
years.
Simply put and I sincerely mean it: Dave is a genius. He is extremely knowledgeable and capable of:
• World-Class – top 1% - Class A Surfacing
o He has demonstrated the ability to capture very complex shapes in a robust and
modifiable model
o He understand the math behind the process and has guided PTC in advancing their
software Pro/Engineer and Creo.
• Leading a team
o He is both an Industrial Designer and Mechanical Engineer’s best friend, as he
understands and can guide both disciplines
o He has orchestrated training courses that external companies, including mine, have
attended
o He develops younger talent to their potential
o Is able to promote team cohesion and cooperation
• Start to finish process, from
o Early product design
o Rapid Prototyping
o Model Shop
o Working with local and foreign vendors
o Bringing a product through to production
He has extensive knowledge in many technical fields and I am proud to consider him a colleague,
needed resource, knowledge bank and a friend.
