 Tracker is at the heart of our Personnel
Development Systems.
 Tracker contains an electronic paperless portfolio for
every member of staff showing every training and
development activity undertaken by the individual.
 It also shows what units of competence the individual
holds and this can be used as a paperless portfolio for
NVQ purposes.
 Any competence scheme following standard
competence structures (units, elements and pc’s) can be
added to the system.
 Any type of training course can be added.

Course are designed initially using ‘course
templates’ which define the basic attributes of a
course.
Specific instances of a course can be created by
selecting an appropriate course template and
editing specific information, such as start / end
dates.

Redkite Course Manager contains a powerful
resource management tool.
Any type of resource can be entered into the
Resource Manager and specific resources, such
as rooms and equipment can be allocated to a
course for any period of time in 30 minute
increments.
Resource Managers are notified of any
requirements and of any changes to the
requirements allowing appropriate actions to be
taken.

Any required trainer qualifications can be
entered and can be matched against trainers to
ensure that they hold the appropriate

The availability of delegates (in terms of
holidays and work commitments) can be
checked on the system.

Redkite Course Manager contains an On-line
prospectus giving details of the courses you will
be running over a given period of time.
Training Administrators can ‘turn off’ the display
of any course through the on-line prospectus.
Through the Prospectus, line managers can
nominate personnel for courses and these
requests will be sent through to Course
Manager electronically.
Line Managers can run a Training Needs Analysis
on personnel to ensure that any required
refresher training is undertaken in a timely
manner.

The system provides the facility to move
personnel from one course to another.
Waiting lists can either be for a specific course

bank of multiple choice questions.
 Questions can be on any topic.
 Questions can have one or many ‘correct’
answers.
 On-line assessments are created by selecting

random order to prevent ‘copying’.

Practise Mode – for learning.
Assessments can be delivered in ‘Practise Mode’
where your personnel can practise the questions.
This can also be seen as a learning mode.
Invigilated Assessments
Assessments can be set as ‘Invigilated’. In this
case personnel cannot undertake the assessment
without overview.
An invigilator must log on to Question Master
before the ‘live’ assessment is delivered.

are marked and graded.
Results are passed through to Redkite Tracker.
Where a ‘pass’ is recorded then this may obviate
the need to attend formal training.
Where Tracker has been set to map training to
units of competence for substantiating evidence
of knowledge then mapping is undertaken
automatically.
Any refresher training / re-assessment dates will
be automatically set.

The Redkite Personnel Development System can be
used to deliver, assess, mark and record any
computer based learning package.
Computer Based Learning resources are uploaded to
the server via a user friendly upload screen.
If the learning resource is required to be assessed via
Redkite Question Master then the links to the
appropriate assessment will need to be added to the
package.
Users can be ‘enrolled’ onto CBT resources via Tracker
and users will only have access to those resources on
to which they are enrolled.

Course are designed initially using ‘course templates’ which define the basic attributes of a course. Any type of resource can be entered into the Resource Manager and specific resources, such as rooms and equipment can be allocated to a course for any period of time in 30 minute increments. The availability of delegates (in terms of holidays and work commitments) can be checked on the system. A Training Needs Analysis can run against personnel to identify those who will require refresher training within a given period to ensure that suitable training is given. Training Administrators can ‘turn off’ the display of any course through the on-line prospectus. Through the Prospectus, line managers can nominate personnel for courses and these requests will be sent through to Course Manager electronically. Line Managers can run a Training Needs Analysis on personnel to ensure that any required refresher training is undertaken in a timely manner. The system provides the facility to move personnel from one course to another. Waiting lists can either be for a specific course instance or can be ‘general’ with delegates waiting for the first opportunity to attend. The availability of staff to attend a course can be reviewed at any time. Multiple courses can be updated. The system automatically shows all courses that have been completed where records have not been updated. On update any refresher training dates are automatically adjusted and any mapping to units of competence is automatically undertaken. Power Point Presentations and similar as learning aids. Redkite Question Master is not just an on-line assessment system using multiple choice questionnaires. Linked to documents (PDF files, Power Point Presentations or other learning material), Question Master becomes a powerful means of ensuring that information has been read and understood. Being web based, authorised users can access the system at an appropriate level at any time, from any location on any web enabled device.

Assessments can be delivered in ‘Practise Mode’ where your personnel can practise the questions. This can also be seen as a learning mode. Invigilated Assessments Assessments can be set as ‘Invigilated’. In this case personnel cannot undertake the assessment without overview. An invigilator must log on to Question Master before the ‘live’ assessment is delivered. Results are passed through to Redkite Tracker. Where a ‘pass’ is recorded then this may obviate the need to attend formal training. Where Tracker has been set to map training to units of competence for substantiating evidence of knowledge then mapping is undertaken automatically. Computer Based Learning resources are uploaded to the server via a user friendly upload screen. If the learning resource is required to be assessed via Redkite Question Master then the links to the appropriate assessment will need to be added to the package. Users can be ‘enrolled’ onto CBT resources via Tracker and users will only have access to those resources on to which they are enrolled.

Assessments in Question Master can be mapped to units of competence in Redkite Tracker to provide substantiating evidence of knowledge and understanding Invigilated or non-invigilated assessments can be set up

It is planned that the Redkite User Group will make resources developed within one organisation available to other similar organisations.
