Currently QA point of call for iOS/Android titles Hasbro Arcade, Littlest Pet Shop: Your World, Transformers: Robots In
Disguise and Chromecast titles:Scrabble Blitz, Simon Swipe, Connect 4 and Monopoly Dash.
While at Marmalade I have contributed to lots of different parts of the creation process including:
● Design discussions.
● Creating test plans and smoke tests.
● Preparing schedules and prioritising work loads for the rest of the team.
● Liaising with therest of thestudio to ensure testing runs smoothly and effectively.
● Investigating issues and validating bugs.
● Entering and regressing bugs in Jira.
● Creating reports and managing the team when senior team members have been away.
I am also currently managing Developer Incentive Programs alongside the marketing team acting as an external production
assistant. This role involves offering incentives to developers and maintaining their progress in return for them porting their app
to a new platformi.e. Windows/Roku/Amazon.
VMC (June 13 – Dec 13)
QA Tester
I initially began working within theCompliance department, but then moved to help cover theFunctional department. I worked
on a number of Xbox 360 titles including Fifa, Skylanders Swap Force and Batman: Arkham Origins.
My duties at VMC consisted of the following:
● Completing test plans and smoke tests.
● Checking to ensure titles conformed to Microsoft’s TCR’s.
● Entering bugs into bug tracking software(Goldengate).
BlizzardEntertainment (Nov07 – June 13)
Games Master/Forum Moderator
My rolewithin Blizzard as Game Master for World of Warcraft involved the following responsibilities:
● Answering various questions from players ranging from in-game issues to technical problems.
● Resolving in-game disputes.
● Dealing with harassment issues.
● Assisting with account issues.
I then moved on to work on our forums as a Customer Service Forum Representative. This position is about helping theplayers
who post on our World of Warcraft forums in the “In-game Customer Support”section. While theissues raised by players on the
forum are similar to theones in-game, we must maintain a higher sense of professionalism and accuracy when responding due to
the fact that our replies are public.
My responsibilities on the forum included:
● Moderating posts.
● Creating and maintaining stickies.
● Working with the QA teams when dealing with questions on functionality, receiving bug reports and testing issues
when they arise.
● Updating and maintaining Support Articles.
As well as working on the forums, I also worked with the Process and Policy team which discusses all aspects of thepolicies and
processes used both in-game and by the Game Masters when speaking to the players.
My tasks involved:
● Ensuring that processes and policies are relevant and both help theplayer and allow the Game Master to do their job
effectively.
● Making necessary edits and changes where needed then communicating the updates to the other departments.
Electronic Arts (Sep05 – Sep07)
QA Tester/QA Lead
I initially worked as a QA tester helping with compliance issues on the Xbox, PC and PS2 versions of Harry Potter:Goblet of
Fire.
After working on various titles (including Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142), I was promoted to Team Leader. Within this role, I
had the following responsibilities:
● Providing training so that my team were confident in reporting issues efficiently.
● Ensuring my team had all the necessary tools to do their jobs properly.
● Creating test scripts and smoke checks.
● Assisting with bug investigations and assigning bugs for regression.
● Reporting to senior members of theteam about my team’s progress through theproject.
● Updating my team on a regular basis about the status of the project.
The projects I worked on in capacity as Team Lead were Harry Potter and theOrder of the Phoenix and thevery early stages of
Burnout Paradise.
