NationalMuseum of Anthropology This is perhaps the most important museum in the country, because in the 79.700 meters square preserves a valuable collection of hundreds of pre-Hispanic cultures of the Aztec, Olmec, Teotihuacan, Zapotec, Mixtec and Maya, as well as relevant information on indigenous peoples which currently inhabit throughout the Mexican Republic, its location, history and customs. The National Anthropology Museum, located in Chapultepec Park, offers guided tours and also has temporary exhibitions that are the result of exchanges with other museums
Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico This museum is located a few blocks from the Zocalo, on AvenidaPino Suarez, the former mansion of the Earl of Calimaya. This quaint colonial building has gargoyles on its facade canon and has a unique collection of articles and colonial maps and one of the first printing of Mexico. Includes a specialized library on more than 1,500 subjects, classical music, and the study of famous Mexican artist JoaquínClausell.
The Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitution This vast square, only smaller in area than Tiananmen in China and Red Square in Moscow, does bring together many of the elements that define the current national identity. Under the heavy slabs of concrete that now covers it, hide several centuries of pre-Columbian history, while flanking this square are many buildings whose construction dates back to colonial Mexico, as in the case of the Palacio Nacional and the CatedralMetropolitana, symbols Mexican government's highest and most widespread religion in the country (Catholic), respectively.
XOCHIMILCO Xochimilco's canals are another attraction in Mexico City can not miss. These channels have approximately 700 years and are still used, essentially the same way they did in the time of the Aztecs. Here you can rent boats painted in bright colors, called trajineras. The journey through the ancient canals is a quiet ride. Once you are out of the dock area may be approximated to you other boats with mariachis and marimba bands, photographers, and food vendors, beverages and handicrafts. This is the favorite tourist spot in Mexico City, both visitors and locals. You do not want to miss.
SIX FLAGS Located south of the city, this grand amusement park rides can be enjoyed on scenic representations distributed in various parts of the world, like the wild west, a Polynesian people, and even a Swiss. Six Flags also offers dolphin shows, walks along a river, restaurants and much .... more. Among the attractions of Mexico City, no doubt, this will be the favorite of little ones.
