Warehouses and Penske Offices in Brazil. Responsible for Contracts with Carriers for MPLS,
MPLS and Telephony Fixed and Mobile. Responsible for the implementation of Vmware
environment in Penske Brazil, IP PBX Projects, Colocation, Network LAN and Wan integration
between Penske USA and Brazil, specification and purchase of Cisco network equipments and
Maintenance Contracts (Smartnet or SharedSupport). Implementation of KPIs for Telecom and
EDI with application of PDCA methodology.

• Project to migrate the servers of a Computer Room in Berrini to DC UOL Diveo for a
Managed Colocation, with the objective to fix all infrastructure issues with UPS, diesel
generator, redundant electrical source, physical space, physical security, fire prevention and
detection system, UOL Diveo was chosen as the best vendor in five that was analysed.
3. Before the migration our SLAs was around 85% of availability, right after the availability up to
98%, after 1 year up to 99%.
• RFP for costs reduction with Internet and MPLS circuits and Voice that brought a cost
reduction of R$ 1.6 Million in 36 months, enabling the approval of Colocation project and the
expansion IP Telephony, beyond the improvement of IT Services with new MPLS and Internet
circuit capacities, improve the redundancy for all remote locations;
• Project to implement BlueCoat Proxy with content filter from Mcafee and antivirus BlueCoat,
with redundancy in two DC at USA and one in Europe;
• Project to implement VPN Remote Access with F5 equipments, with redundancy in two DC at
USA and one in Europe;
• Project to implement WAN Accelerator Cisco Waas, this tool provide performance like lan for
remote locations with circuits with low bandwidth, was possible to consolidate file servers,
ERP and WMS servers in the datacenter, was possible to reduce around 10 servers with
respectives backup routines, medias, records storage, hardware and software contracts, and
reduce costs with circuits;
• Project to implement Cisco IP Telephony System in Head Office and after in all locations in
Brazil, providing best communication, new functionalities, conference call feature without
costs, new and modern ip phones, authentication features, extension mobility, softphone that
was used in Iphones using the Wireless network by Managers and Directors at locations and
EUA, Europe, ASIA and Mexico, all over Wireless network providing calls with zero costs –
part of this project was paid with the saving achieve in RFP of Telephony and costs reduction
with calls over a SIP provider for mobile calls;
• Implementation of Virtualization using VMWare, initially with free license when as possible to
show for IT Directory the benefits of the technology, that enables to buy the licensing to grow
the virtual environment, adding new features like high availability and cluster;
• Implementation of EMC Storage with 24Tb of space, in which have been migrated to Storage
the Vmware environment, file server, ERP application and Databases;
• Implementation of Backup Policy and Records Storage ate Iron Mountain;
• Standardization of IT documentation and directory structure using ITIL best practices;
• Implementation of KPIs for IT Telecom and use of PDCA methodology, that enables the focus
in the most common problems with Telecom and EDI, using the KPI in periodically meetings
with Embratel was possible to show the most common issues in their circuits, after some
months they migrate 6 circuits from metallic pair to radio or optical fiber without any cost to
Penske and improving the availability for the location. Other action was the renegotiation of
the contract with Neogrid VAN to reduce the costs with bytes due to growing of the file traffic,
item identified very fast with the KPIs;
