Reveal Your True Inner Beauty
1. Reveal Your True Inner Beauty
It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in reality, every woman is beautiful. Some
women may need a little more help in revealing that beauty, but it is there just waiting to be shown to
the world. Cosmetics have little to do with true beauty, although they can certainly enhance natural
attributes. Real beauty comes from taking care of yourself properly and using your natural beauty to
the best advantage.
True beauty comes from within, so start out by feeding your body properly. Eat a well-balanced diet
that includes lots of fruits and vegetables, and limit your portion sizes to make it less likely that you
will gain unneeded pounds. Make exercise a part of your daily life too. Not only does exercise help
keep your body toned and looking good, but it helps keep your weight under control, enhances your
metabolism and energy levels and keeps your cardiovascular system working optimally. Schedule
exercise into your routine, otherwise you probably will never get to it. Take a walk after dinner or
during your lunch break, or join a formal team or class that meets regularly. Find something you
enjoy, so that you are motivated to keep moving.
Make sure you get plenty of shut-eye each night. While you sleep, your body rejuvenates itself, so
skimping on sleep makes you look and feel older and less energetic. And let's not even discuss those
telltales bags or dark circles that can form under your eyes to let everyone know that you are not
getting enough rest. Strive to get eight hours of sleep each night to look and feel your best.
Drinking plenty of water is essential if you want to look and feel good. Water is a natural moisturizer,
so if you drink enough water, your skin will remain hydrated, soft, supple and less wrinkled. Plus,
water helps your food pass through your digestive system normally, making it less likely that toxins
will remain in your body and cause harm.
Always use moisturizer to lock in your skin's moisture and help minimize the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles. Moisturizer is not just for your face. After bathing, apply moisturizer all over your body
while your skin is still damp to help keep your skin in tip top shape.
Take a critical look at your wardrobe. Do the clothes you wear flatter you, or do they make you look
old, dumpy, frumpy or out of style? Go through all your clothes, and get rid of those items that do
2. nothing for your figure. When you shop, only choose clothes that look good on you. Avoid buying
clothes just because they are a bargain. If they do not flatter you, they are a waste of money.
How long has it been since you changed your hairstyle? Many of us become comfortable with one
hairstyle and fail to keep it updated. Look through hairstyle magazines and consult with your stylist to
come up with a new hairstyle that flatters your face and that is age appropriate.
Just as important as taking care of your body is taking care of yourself on an emotional level. This
means limiting stress and/or dealing with it properly. Find something that works for you, whether it is
deep breathing, yoga, prayer, meditation or even counseling. Achieving serenity can help you look
more relaxed and beautiful.
Carry yourself with confidence. Throw back your shoulders, hold your head up high and glide
gracefully when you walk. All the most beautiful makeup and stylish clothing will never do you full
justice unless you carry yourself well and exude an air of calm and poise. Practice in front of a mirror
to help you in this area.
Did you notice that this beauty article did not mention how to apply makeup? That is because true
beauty is not about artificiality. True beauty comes from within and is reflected in your appearance
and the way you carry yourself and behave. Follow the tips in this article to bring out the true beauty
inside you.
