5. School Bell - Boyle County Angela Coontz Angela is a volunteer at Junction City Elementary School. She works as a bus monitor and assists in the front office. According to Principal Pam Shunk, “Angela is simply a hard-working, very pleasant individual. She is very deserving of this honor.”

School Bell - Danville Debbie Weiderman Debbie is a retired teacher who started to volunteer at Jennie Rogers in 2010. “ The most wonderful thing about Debbie is her bubbly personality and her positive contribution to our building. We consider her one of our Jennie Rogers family,” said Gina Bernard, Principal, Jennie Rogers Elementary

8. Outstanding Citizen Susan Hensley

9. Outstanding Citizen Susan Hensley Susan was instrumental in establishing CASA at Woodlawn, which currently serves neglected and abused children in Boyle and Mercer Counties. Since its founding, Susan has devoted countless hours to the cause of CASA - serving as a volunteer, board member, and consultant. Her passion and leadership has never waned and she continues as a visionary leader in advocating for these children who are often unable to have a voice of there own.

11. Outstanding Volunteer Bill Faulconer Bill Faulconer’s work can be seen all over central Kentucky including not only Boyle County, but Frankfort, Mercer County, Henry County and elsewhere. Tonight we celebrate all his generous communities, but especially what he has done in both the Forkland and Perryille communities

13. Ambassador of the Year Rhonda Gilliam “ Rhonda has been there for the Chamber staff and members throughout the year. She helps at all events, golf tournament, annual banquet, Business After Hours, has worked on the membership drive, welcomes new members anything we ask! She is a quiet, loyal volunteer who prefers to get in, do the work and stay in the background. We also thank her employer Community Trust Bank for allowing her the time to serve with the Chamber!” - Chamber Executive Director Paula Fowler

15. Bruce Montgomery Leadership Award Ben Guerrant Ben is the co-founder of the Chamber of Commerce Young Professional and a recent member of the Chamber Board of Directors. He also served as a Chamber of Commerce mentor and currently serves on the Wilderness Trace Child Development Center Board.

16. Community Impact Danville/Boyle County Airport Board

17. Community Impact Danville/Boyle County Airport Board The board has quietly served the community for decades, particularly bringing corporate air traffic to our area, directly affecting our regional economy. They now house Air Evac Lifeteam Danville base 418, and have just completed a $1,000,000 construction project having built a new airport administration building and corporate hangar.

Community Impact Community Services Department of Ephraim McDowell Health Since its creation in 2008, the Community Service Department has truly made a difference toward the creation of a healthier community. In 2009, the department conducted 282 community health events at 114 sites, serving 6,799 persons. Through September 2010, the department has provided 13,412 tests at 519 events.

Above and Beyond Angie Lamere In addition to being plant manager, she oversaw expansions of the facility, including a 6,000 SF addition, 18 new jobs, and a$2.8 million capital investment while serving the Heart of Kentucky United Way in several capacities, the EDP, the Industrial Council where she led a successful R e duce, Reuse, Recycle initiative that has all but eliminated wood pallet waste from our local industries.

21. Legacy Award Mary Louise “Tweedie” Minor

22. Legacy Award Mary Louise “Tweedie” Minor Mary Louise graduated from Danville High School and attended the Louisville Conservatory of Music and Centre College. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She taught music at school in Perryville, Harrodsburg and Mercer County. She was the organist and choir director for many years at Centenary United Methodist Church. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta. You could find her many Fridays behind the piano, tickling the ivory to the delight of Danville ʼ s rotary club. Tonight, we honor Mary Louise Minor, or as you probably knew her, Tweedie.

23. Outstanding Business Person Sean Cain

24. Outstanding Business Person Sean Cain Sean has been with the same company since 1992. His commitment to the community is evident through his active involvement not only in the Chamber, but the Danville Rotary Club, Salvation Army, and his church. Having just overseen a major renovation at his store, he still finds the time to support the community through donations of money, goods, and grants from the Wal-Mart Foundation.

26. Outstanding Small Business V-The Market Owners Mary Robin Spoonamore and Wayne Marshall capitalized on fresh opportunity when it knocked and is thriving in a difficult economy. Having fast become a favorite retail spot in the Heart of Danville, this business seems to be getting bigger and better, adding variety, and hosting weekly events to promote their products.

28. Outstanding Large Business Denyo Denyo has been serving Boyle County since 1995. Over the last decade and and a half, their facility has nearly doubled in size, output, sales and employees. A slow economy in 2008 and 2009 provided challenges, but unlike many manufactures, all employees retained their jobs. They ended 2009 with 64 employees and 30 million in sales. 2010 ended with 115 employees and 61 million in sales.

29. Rising Star Clay Albright

30. Rising Star Clay Albright Clay Albright has been a Great American Brass Band volunteer for more than 15 years. He serves on the Advisory Board of Big Brothers Big Sister and was recently named the Big Brother of the Year. He also participates in the United Way Day of Caring and does work for Habitat for Humanity. Clay also belongs to the Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals, National Sand, Stone and Gravel Association and is a member of their Young Leaders section.
