Served as technical lead and lead programmer/architect on a project to replace and re-engineer the
business process for The Compensation Advisory Organization of Michigan/Michigan Workers
Compensation Placement Facility. This project moved their business software from a mini-computer
based COBOL program to a distributed Windows .Net platform. This software re-architected many
business processes and increased employee productivity by approximately 20%.
Served as the lead programmer on a .Net application to re-engineer and automate the creation and receipt
of required shipping documents such as shipping schedules, advance shipping notices and bills of lading.
The application then produced a recommended production schedule to meet the requirements of the
received shipping schedules. This application was a key to the company receiving their Ford Q-1 rating.
This solution included development of a handheld system with scanner for use in the plant that ensured
accuracy of the produced advance shipping notices. The result led to approximately a 30% increase in
productivity in the shipping of products and production scheduling.

Worked on a web based solution, CMHLink, and helped re-engineer the business processes for the
Wayne County Community Mental Health Agency. This web-based application replaced a commercial
desktop application they were using that did not meet their needs. It also opened up the WCCMHA
system to providers for the first time. Managers estimated that this application increased productivity at
least 10-15% and provided a valuable service to their providers.
Served as the programmer and webmaster for the Wayne County Airport Authority, which runs the
Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports. Responsible for the update and maintenance of three public
websites. Wrote a web based contract management system that increased their ability to track the many
contracts the airport had with vendors. Wrote a tablet based contract compliance program that allowed
field checking of compliance and synced with the contract management system. Wrote a mobile
application that allowed the airport fire department to eliminate paperwork involved with field
inspections of equipment for fire safety compliance at the airport.

application was later sold by Tumbleweed Communications to a competitor who wanted our technology
because it was superior to their own.

Served as the Application Architect, Technical Lead and Lead Programmer for a new warehouse data
collection system called ATLink. ATLink interfaced with SAP and Wonderware systems using DCOM,
Microsoft Transaction Server and Message Queue,as well as handheld and forklift mounted terminals
with long range scanning capability, for the warehouse data collection. The application resulted in an
3. engine that interfaced with SAP that was reusable on subsequent projects at the company. The first
customer, Imperial Tobacco of Canada,estimated approximately a 20% increase in warehouse
productivity and the almost virtual elimination of errors in the system because of the elimination of
manual worker data input.

Developed ODBC drivers and other commercial products using Visual C++. The main databases
targeted by the ODBC drivers were Microsoft SQL Server and Pervasive Software’s Pervasive.SQL and
Btrieve. Btrieve/Pervasive Software had originally meant for this ODBC driver to be a “check the box”
item to their software. However,it became so important to their customers as the main means of
connecting their software to the Btrieve databases they used in their products, that Pervasive Software felt
they had to bring the development in house and fully under their control.
