- Most organizations in recent times are widely using eLearning as one of their training platforms. Do you know some of the popular trainings that are being conducted through eLearning?
- A study conducted by an E-Learning Magazine throws some light on the subject.
- The survey revealed that compliance training, product training, industry training, and IT training are the training programs that are mostly delivered through online methods.
- According to the survey, 65% of the trainings were Compliance related and 62% were Product trainings, while industry and IT training constituted 57% and 55% respectively.
- CommLab India has also conducted an independent survey in this regard. Data pertaining to all the eLearning courses developed during a defined time period was analyzed.
- Trainings were categorized into Product, Software, Compliance, Sales, Process, Service, New Hire, Real Estate, Finance and Customer Trainings.
- What were the findings?
- Most of the eLearning courses developed were one of these three categories: Product Training, Software Training or Compliance Trainings
- The survey revealed that 41% of courses developed were for Product Training,. 16% of the courses were for Software Applications Trainings, 13% of the courses constituted compliance training and the remaining were from other domains.

- The reasons are quite simple. All these trainings need to be conducted quickly, to a large group of people and perhaps spread over wide geographical locations in a cost-effective manner. eLearning provides a good option to successfully address this need.
