Background:
• CDBG and CDBG-R funds utilized in October
2009 to purchase 204 – 220 Holleman
• Intent to secure private developer to construct a
mixed-use development to provide affordable
housing, job creation and open recreational
space
• CDBG-R requires accomplishments and grant
close-out no later than September 30, 2012

Proposed Revised Use of CDBG-R Funds:
• $299,821 in CDBG-R funds were used to acquire
204 Holleman – one lot only
• Local funds can be substituted for CDBG-R funds
used for Acquisition
• Use of CDBG-R funds can be revised from
Acquisition to Public Facility
• Alternative to the need for the City to repay HUD
$299,821 with no benefit to citizens

• No impact on Holleman property future
development
• Possible Reimbursement of General Fund
following future development of Holleman
Property
• Provide area benefit to 2 eligible neighborhoods
• Construct approximately 4,900 linear feet of
