From telecommunications, to manufacturing, to banking, these changes were largely based on increased levels of standardization and automation. Cloud computing has brought a similar change to the IT industry, and standardization and automation is yielding improvements in IT processes and the quality of user services.

Nos prévisions GMV indiquent une croissance de +2.4% de la dépense informatique adressable par IBM France. La dépense IT retrouvera donc le chemin de la croissance en 2011, tout comme le PIB français prévu en croissance de +2.0%. POURQUOI CE REBOND ? Les clients sont passés d’une recherche de baisse des coûts à une demande de création de valeur (= excellence opérationnelle indiquée dans la CEO Study 2010) : 80% de l’opportunité de marché se trouve dans les services, l’outsourcing devrait continuer à tirer la demande dans les services. La demande pour le logiciel sera nettement plus forte qu’en 2010 avec des opportunités liées à la sécurité, au stockage ou à l’Analyse prédictive / Dashboards métier / BI. La demande pour les infrastructures IT va continuer (virtualisation, consolidation…) avec la convergence ‘réseau + stockage + sécurité’ en trame de fond Les DSIs vont avoir des problématiques directement liées à la réduction des coûts, l’optimisation et la réorganisation des structures existantes aussi bien sur les aspects RH qu’IT --------- CLICK ANIMATION ---------- UN PAYSAGE QUI EVOLUE… Si l’on tente de prendre un peu de recul par rapport à ses prévisions court terme et de regarder les tendances de fond, voici quelques citations du Gartner: - Le Gartner évoque des sujets de fond (Cloud, virtualisation, Analytics,…) qui sont complètement alignés avec nos WW Growth Initiatives - Il faut nous préparer à voir émerger de nouveaux concurrents et partenaires (ex : les industriels qui oeuvrent auprès des collectivités : Vinci, Veolia, Bouygues…ou bien les opérateurs téléphoniques) - Il nous faut gagner les projets qui sont les premières étapes de nos clients dans leur roadmap vers le cloud : serveur, sécurité, virtualisation…tout en montant sur la valeur métier - Enfin, l’Analytics est probablement notre différenciant le plus fort, utilisons-le pour parler ‘métier’, c’est une opportunité unique, de long terme.   10. So now let us turn to a framework to explain better how cloud computing can be delivered. First and foremost, no matter what cloud service you actually want to provide to your end users it must be integrated effectively with your existing and third party resources and services. So whether it is raw infrastructure services, combined patterns of middleware and infrastructure for platform as a service solutions, or applications and business processes for Software as a Service or Business process as a Service, they need to integrate and they need to be protected and enabled by an effective service management, security and business planning /lifecycle management. It is this latter that will enable you to control the environment more effectively, maximize productivity and minimize associated labor costs, and ensure a resilient safe environment for your business users.
