Controller is a unique management control
plane solution that provides centralized
management of virtual network services
designed to address virtualization
challenges at its core, and it has rapidly
become a primary component of Cisco’s
cloud management strategy.
Agenda
In this session you will learn:
- How Prime Network Services Controller
works with Cisco InterCloud, enabling
private and public cloud connectivity
- How it sits at the network services layer
and is an integral element of the Cisco
ONE strategy for network services
- How it fits into Cisco’s larger cloud
management strategy with Cisco Intelligent
Automation for Cloud
Increasing the Value of the
Network with Programmability and
Analytics
Service providers are constantly looking for
ways to profitably innovate with their
networks, be it with new service offerings or
greater operating efficiencies. Identifying
areas for improvement and new
opportunities is challenging, which is why
Cisco has identified six common areas at
which all service providers should be
looking for savings and new opportunities.
In this live Cisco Knowledge Network
webcast, we will highlight each of these six
areas and provide actual customer case
studies showing how they are cutting
expenses and improving profitability.

Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a
protocol that has existed since 1995, and it
can be seen as one of the first technologies
to enable software-defined networking
(SDN) network infrastructure. Through
control plane activities, BGP allows the
management of services and resources
within and between network infrastructures.
Recent developments have made BGP an
even more service-aware technology,
supporting enhanced and innovative off-
path traffic manipulation to support
resource and service mobility, which in turn
will allow operators to optimize CapEx and
OpEx in a services-aware data network.
This webcast will provide insight into the
different areas where SDN-driven networks
can benefit from enhanced BGP capabilities
and design architectures to promote
mobility, virtualization, and resource and
service awareness.

Monetizing the Cloud with Cisco
Desktop-as-a-Service Solutions
This presentation looks at the opportunity
around cloud-based desktop-as-a-service
(DaaS) solutions and how Cisco can help
cloud providers plan, build, operate, and sell
differentiated cloud services across a world
of many clouds.
DaaS solutions provide scalable, cost-
effective, and secure cloud-based virtual
desktop subscription services. These
benefits are delivered "as a service" with no
initial capital investments and include self-
service access, on-demand provisioning,
and use-based pricing.

you accelerate deployment and increase
flexibility and operational efficiency with

premises and cloud-based desktop
virtualization solutions without compromising
security or the user experience.
Satellite Service Providers:
Expanding Beyond Broadcast
Anytime, anywhere connectivity and a
virtually limitless offering of services with a
superb user experience are becoming the
norm for consumers globally. In response,
satellite providers are using varied means to
expand their offerings with services such as
video everywhere, advanced EPGs, and
interactive apps while continuing to bolster
their broadcast video services.
Agenda
In this session you will learn:
- How satellite providers can monetize their
content, grow their customer base, and
increase subscriber loyalty by expanding
their service offering
- What actions service providers have been
taking to introduce new services
- How Cisco is supporting satellite providers
in their gradual transition from broadcast-
only to hybrid broadcast and broadband and
cloud environments

application trends. Here is a sample of what
you will learn during the June 24, 2014
Cisco Knowledge Network session:
- How fast global IP traffic is growing
- Which regions are growing the most
quickly and which will generate the most IP
traffic
- The effects of various devices/connections
(smartphones, tablets, laptops, and M2M)
on IP traffic growth
- The most popular services/applications
globally and regionally
- How average broadband speeds are
improving to meet consumer and business
network user demands
The Cisco VNI team will share the new
findings of the updated studies and answer
your IP traffic and service trend questions.
You will also learn where and how you can
access Cisco VNI content for your business
