2. KRISTALLNACHT
NIGHT OF BROKEN GLASS
The night of November 9th, 1938
It was a massive attack on Jews and Jewish
businesses by Nazi storm troopers, members
of the SS and Hitler Youth.
It started because Herschel Grynszpan, a 17
year old Jew living in Paris, shot and killed a
member of the German Embassy staff
30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to
concentration camps
3. NUREMBURG LAWS
Created September 15th, 1935
It took away the German Jews
Right of Citizenship
Stated they couldn’t have
relationships with Aryans (blond
hair and blue eyed people)
Also ordered that Jews had to
have a medical exam to make sure
they didn’t have disease
4. GHETTOS
It was an area outside ware the minority
lived, and in this case it was the Jewish
people.
It had major over population and terrible
living conditions. Some people would take
their own life to escape.
Germans would deliberately starve the
people by not giving them food and during
the winter not giving them fuel for heat.
5. THE FINAL
SOLUTION
started in the summer of 1941
It was the Nazi plan to exterminate the Jewish people
Hitler sent SS units to search town to town
throughout Europe to track down all the Jews in their
path to be sent to death camps.
Concentration camps people would be killed, more
than 6,000 died from Gas Chambers alone, each day.
