Responsibilities
Maintain grant calendar. Draft, edit, and submit grants, proposals, letters, reports on programs and
operations. Fact-check materials against organization records. Draft preliminary budgets and budget
narratives. Research grant prospects, best practices, local corporations, and high-income donor
prospects. Participate in local events by community leaders and foundations. Seek out private
interests to support museum programs. Assist with programs and events, primarily towards donor
cultivation. Maintain revenue records. Arrange appropriate recognition of sponsors in collaboration
with Marketing. Ensure the prompt acknowledgment of gifts with tax letters and personalized thank
you cards. Recently tasked with administering the Friends With Benefits young members program.

Responsibilities
Work with the Board of Directors to translate organization’s vision into action. Ask for donations at
events. Maintain relations with project supporters. Collaborate with volunteers to put on small
benefit concerts. Coordinate communications between founder/artistic director Michael Fitzpatrick
and the executive staff. Schedule and lead meetings. Campaign strategy.

Special Achievements
In the midst of the High Park Fire (2012), SMC operations and development was evacuated to
Boulder during peak season. I helped to execute 2 fundraisers totaling $970,000 in revenue.
The following fall (2012), I successfully advocated for the Center’s first online, post-season
fundraising campaign. Using a combination of email solicitation, social media and a humorous video
series we out-performed all preceding campaigns since 2007, and launched the AV wing of the
fundraising department.
In 2013 I revived the grant-writing initiative, renewing relations with one foundation and securing
grant monies from a private and a public group with no previous relationship to SMC.
Responsibilities
Grants: research, writing, coordinating assistance from other depts., editing, submission.
Outreach: cold calling donors, initiating relations with other orgs, public messaging.
