KEY QUALIFICATIONS • Responsibility • Leadership • Accountability • Operations • Mentoring • Adaptability • Dedication • Training • Stamina EXPERIENCE MAY 2003-­‐ JANUARY 2015, Machinery Technician U.S. Coast Guard (Group Hampton Roads, Stations New York, Indian River, and Cape Charles) • Enabled Station Indian River to connect to the city water system eliminating the costs, man-­‐hours, and supplies associated with maintaining the unit’s filtration system, saving the United States Coast Guard an estimated $4,000 annually. • Supported a rigorous training program that resulted in three boat drivers, eight crewmen, and six engineers on the Station Indian River’s newest platform of the 47 ft. Motor Life Boat. • Relieved the Engineering Petty Officer at Station Indian River, stepping into a position that is rated for personnel two pay grades higher. • Qualified at Station Cape Charles as the first non-­‐command engineer on the new Response Boat Medium platform, as well as performed the training for the next qualified engineer. • Recognized as Sailor of the Quarter on two separate occasions, an acknowledgement by peers and supervisors for surpassing overall expectations regarding scope of duties. • Marked as having “superior” stamina in ten evaluations. • Selected individually to assist in the security detail of the President of the United States during the 2006 United Nations meeting.
