Magna Carta is a document created for the purpose of limiting
the powers of the monarch and preserving the basic legal
rights of all free men in England.
The real significance of this document lies in the basic idea
that a ruler, just like everyone else, is subject to the rule of
law.

The Glorious Revolution took place in England during 1688.
William of Orange took over as King during the Glorious Revolution
The Magna Carta was the document that changed the power of Kings.
4. English Bill of Rights
The English Bill of Rights was written in 1689
By assuming and exercising a power of dispensing
with and suspending of laws, and the execution of
laws, without consent of parliament. By
committing and prosecuting divers worthy
prelates, for humbly petitioning to be excused
from concurring to the said assumed power.

thinking which steered the world away from religion and more and more toward
secularism, humanism, individualism, rationalism, and nationalism.Of all of
these, it was rationalism that more than any other concept defined the
Enlightenment, which was also called the “Age of Reason.”

It was important because it was a revolution for the people they stopped doing
what the church said and found out for themselves.

Social Contract-This is the belief that the state only exists to serve
the will of the people, and they are the source of all political power
enjoyed by the state. They can choose to give or withhold this power.

He was most famous for writing The Declaration of
Independence
