3. COLOUR PALETTE
I have chosen these colours as my online research shown that these colours are used within
the whole of the hip hop genre, these colours aren’t just limited to magazines, making these
colours a sensible choice for my colour scheme.
• Black – Portrays the darkness that the artists have had to get through to be where they are today.
• Red – connotes danger, makes the artist look strong through this portrayal of danger.
• White – portrays the meaning of the artists work.
4. TARGET AUDIENCE
My target audience will be people aged between 16 and 25, 57% of
these being male and the remaining 43% being female. I have chosen
these statistics from my online research.
Although, I will not incorporate any techniques into my magazine cover
that favours one of the genders. I will make my magazine so there is no
specific gender. This will give me a wider target audience.
