2. The city of arts and
sciences
The city of arts and sciences is the most important modern tourist
destination in the city of Valencia in Spain . It´s situated at the end of
the former riverbed of the river Turia, which was drained and rerouted
after a catastrophic flood in 1957.
3. HEMISFERIC
L'Hemisfèric — an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium. The building is
meant to resemble a giant eye, and has an approximate surface of 13,000 m².
The Hemisferic is also known as the planetarium or the “eye of knowledge,”
it´s the central piece of the City of Arts and Sciences
4. L’OCEANOGRAFIC
an open-air oceanographic park. It ´s the largest oceanographic
aquarium in Europe
It was built in the shape of a water lily and is the work of the architect
Félix Candela
5. MUSEUM OF THE PRINCE felipe
The Science Museum Prince Felipe is a Spanish museum dedicated to
science, technology and the environment . It´s integrated within the
complex known as City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
6. PALAce of music
The Palace of Music in Valencia is a building in the city
of Valencia located in the old Turia riverbed. The Palau
has several rooms for musical
performances, conferences, exhibitions, performances
and film screenings, among other activities.
7. LAS TORRES DE SERRANO
It´s one of the twelve gates that were found along the old medieval city
wall in Valencia, Spain.
It is considered one of Valencia's most iconic building and is one the
best conserved monuments in the city.
8. TORRES DE QUART
They are a pair of twin towers that were part of the
medieval wall surrounding the old city of Valencia, whose
function was to defend the city. They are at the intersection
of Guillem de Castro Street with the street Quart.
9. MICALET
From the Door of the Apostles, if we leave the Plaza de la Virgen on our
right and head down the street from Micalet you will get to the bell
tower or Micalet, endearing sentimental symbol of Valencia, and
probably the most characteristic monument in the city. It was started
in 1381 by Julia Andreu,
10. PLAZA DE TOROS
The walls are close bull ring for the running of the
bulls.
11. BEACHES OF VALENCIA
Malvarrosa.
Malvarrosa Beach is the city beach of Valencia.
Its name comes from a gardener, Felix Robillard, who by then held the position
of head gardener of the Botanical.The beach, which in ancient times was used
for landing fish and trade exchange between the different villages near the
capital. It was a resting place for the Valencian bourgeoisie.
Pinedo:
Pinedo is one of the closest beaches and important of
Valencia, located south.
