Notas do Editor
GroupeSEB is located in France and has made strategic acquisitions over the years to become a world leader in Small Domestic Appliances
6 products sold in the world every second More than 200 new products each year
24,000 employees worldwide
As you can see, all clad was added to their portfolio in 2004 and since then has invested a substantial amount of $ in the manufacturing facility to move us from a mom & pop shop towards the goal of becoming a world class manufacturer
You may recognize some of the Local and Global brands such as T-Fal, IMUSA, and ROWENTA
How about the All Clad Brand???
Anyone can be trained to accept or reject a product using a Go/No Go gauge, but what if the product doesn’t look pretty enough?
documenting over 60 defects a final All-Clad product could have, and how 70% of those defects are aesthetic in nature.
I will talk about the ongoing training needed to ensure that quality standards do not slide - both from an inspectors standpoint (not rejecting a good product) and from a management standpoint (not accepting poor quality in order to meet company goals).
In process approval of an “out of spec” defect for this LOT turns into “it’s good everyday” – then the Spec “slides”
Even from shift to shift – communication of approval from Supervisor to Supervisor – then to the production operators
Use of a “no worse than this” sample
