2. INTRODUCTION
 In this slide show I am going to tell you about flags of the world. In
this slide it will be about the flags of The United Kingdom and
Ireland. This Slide show may have a quiz or something else inside

3. THE REASON WHY I WANTED TO DO
THIS PROJECT ON FLAGS
 I thought I would do this project on flags of the world because I
like learning about flags and I hope you do to.
 I was going to do it on the Victorians but I think if I done that it
would be a bit boring because we will just be hearing about the
same thing twice.

4. THE SCOTTISH FLAG’S
 You will normally just call the Scottish flag the Scottish flag but
both have real names.
 The name for the one with a blue background and a white cross
though it has two names the one of them are the Saint Andrews
Cross and the other is The Saltire.
 The one with the red lion in the middle has one name and one
name only The Rampant Lion.

5. THE SALTIRE
 The Saltire is Scotland’s national flag it has another name The
Saint Andrew’s Cross. When you ask an old person they will say
that it is called the Saltire because you’ll find that old people will
know a bit more history of the Scottish flag especially my Nan and
Grandad. Where if you ask an Adult around thirty they will call it
Saint Andrew’s Cross.
 The White cross appears on numerous flags in light blue or just
white. Jamaica also have their cross which is yellow with green
and black in the background.

7. ENGLISH FLAG
 We now move onto the English flag.

8. ALL ABOUT THE ENGLISH FLAG
 Well the English flag has an important name as well it is the St
George’s Cross. You can tell why the English flag is called the St
George’s Cross because St George is one of their followers, and
Cross stands for that red cross in the middle of their flag.
