• Global Water Security Initiative in WWF
  International
• The key rivers/watersheds in China,
  Yangtze and Lancang/Upper Mekong
• In Lancang/Upper Mekong, by 2020, the
  physical integrity of rivers and adjoining
  wildlife habitats in the Upper Mekong
  basin are safeguarded against threats
  from infrastructure development,
  mining, forestry, agriculture, and climate
  change.
Why

• One of the few organizations which
  work upper and lower.
• work across borders to tackle joint
  regional priorities by bringing
  together key stakeholders of all the
  Mekong river countries

Why • Global Water Security Initiative in WWF International • The key rivers/watersheds in China, Yangtze and Lancang/Upper Mekong • In Lancang/Upper Mekong, by 2020, the physical integrity of rivers and adjoining wildlife habitats in the Upper Mekong basin are safeguarded against threats from infrastructure development, mining, forestry, agriculture, and climate change.
