CMPROficiency+ 2015 is an annual CMPRO Software training event where attendees have the option to train in three different areas based on their user level. This presentation introduces the presenters and what each is teaching at this year's event.
CMPRO is a product lifecycle management (PLM) and configuration management (CM) software that manages engineering, configuration, inventory, and product data.

Moe Parker is the Chief Executive Officer of
Professional Systems Associates, Inc. (PSA), the
developers of CMPRO. Moe has been with PSA for 26
years and recently earned a CMIIA (CMII Advanced)
Certification from the Institute of Configuration
Management.
Moe is definitely a key player at CMPROficiency+
2015. On the first day of training, Moe is guiding the
mid-afternoon Full Group Session and will review the
following CMPRO features:
• Share Spaces
• Insight Searching
• Using the Enterprise Board Agenda (E-BA)
• Programs & Systems
• System Group Dashboard vs. Program Dashboard
For the remainder of CMPROficiency+, his focus is on
CMPRO End-to-End training in Room 3. Moe expects
that attendees who participate in the CMPRO End-to-
End training will have “a better understanding of the
full capabilities offered by the PLM (product lifecycle
management) functionality of CMPRO, with insight
on how customers are using these features and
processes today.”
Moe Parker, CEO of PSA

Rob Stone has been a part of the PSA Team
for sixteen years as a CMPRO Senior Systems
Analyst and plays a major role in developing
and organizing the training materials taught
at CMPROficiency+.
Rob has a thorough understanding of all
elements involved in the processes of
Configuration Management (CM). He
currently holds the following certifications:
• Enterprise Configuration Management -
Master's Certification from
the Configuration Management Process
Improvement Center (CMPIC)
• CM Assessor - Certification (CMPIC)
• ANSI/EIA-649B Principles & Applications -
Certification (CMPIC)
• Configuration Management Principles and
Implementation - Certification (CMPIC)
• CMIIB (CMII Basics) certification from the
Institute of Configuration Management
(ICM)
Rob will be teaching multiple courses at
CMPROficiency+ 2015.
Rob Stone, Senior Systems Analyst
4. Day 1: Full Group Session
Rob kicks off CMPROficiency+ with an overview of the New
CMPRO Desktop and resumes after lunch with the following
Process Workflow Engine (PWE) and Contract topics:
• Official Numbering Formats
• Auto Action Items
• SQL Conditions
• Reopening Checklists
• Contract Events
Day 2:
Rob begins the second day of training in Room 1 with the
CMPRO Desktop training course. This course teaches how to
navigate through CMPRO using the new desktop that will be
released later this summer. This is a continuation of the Full
Group Session’s overview.
Rob moves into Room 2 for the two afternoon courses:
PWE and Official Numbers will be a detailed discussion and
demonstration of how official numbers work with the Process
Workflow Engine (PWE). Attendees should expect to learn how
official numbering functions; and how to configure it on a PWE
route for both workflow forms and repository records.
Rob suggests attendees have at least a basic understanding how
PWE routing works to get the most out of this course.
Using Checklists with PWE Workflow Forms will explain how
checklists work with forms routed using the Process Workflow
Engine (PWE). Attendees should expect to learn how checklist
templates and checklists are created and managed, and how
they affect routed forms.
Tip from Rob: “You don't need to be an admin to get something
out of this, although it might feel like it. If you're not an admin,
pay attention to how checklists can enhance process automation
and enforcement and you'll come away with some good ideas.”
Day 3:
The last day of training, Rob teaches a two part series on
PWE and SQL Conditions.
SQL conditions are used with various features connected
with forms routed using the Process Workflow Engine
(PWE). Attendees should expect to learn a little bit
about SQL (Structured Query Language), and how to use
it to configure applicable PWE step-level features.
TIP from Rob: “You'll get the most out of this class if
you're an admin, or a user with the ability to admin
routes (some experience would be good). If you're not an
admin, listen for how using SQL conditions can enhance
process automation/enforcement, and you'll likely come
away with some new ideas.”

With eleven years of CMPRO software testing and user training
experience, John Cope is the go-to-guy for answers to all-things-
CMPRO. Because of John’s extensive CMPRO knowledge, he is
going to be on-site all three days conducting different training
courses on various topics.
Here’s where you can find John at CMPROficiency+ 2015:
Day 1:
In the Full Group Session, John will lead the mid-morning
discussions on Software Licenses Tracking, New Import
Functionality, What’s News, Data Packages and Digitally Signed
PDFs.
Day 2:
Bright and early, John will be teaching the Sustainment course in
Room 2. Expect an overview of the general functionality of as-
built, inventory and work orders and how they relate to each
other.
Contracts & CDRLs training will start right after the morning
breakout in Room 2. The Contracts module training covers
contracts, tasks, and charge numbers. The second part of the
course discusses the DD1423 module in CMPRO, specifically the
Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and Subcontract Data
Requirements List (SDRLs) as well as scheduling delivery items.
Day 3:
Training on Using the Software Repository is being held in Room
1. John will go over the module’s full functionality and how
software license tracking and the software repository can be
used together to track released software, their licenses and keys.

Kerry Martinez joined the PSA Team in 2010, bringing with her a year and
a half of experience as a CMPRO site administrator at The Boeing
Company in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. With her firsthand experience as
both a CMPRO end user and site administrator, Kerry is great at helping
and answering questions that arise from any level CMPRO user.
This year, Kerry will be teaching two courses at CMPROficiency+ 2015:
Using Workflow Forms and Using the Document Repository. Both courses
will be offered on Day 2, Wednesday, May 20th.
When asked what attendees can expect from taking her courses, Kerry
said, “My goal in Using Workflow Forms is to explain all the things you
can do with a workflow document, starting with what you would do
when a workflow document is assigned to you.”
In Using the Document Repository course, expect Kerry to answer these
important questions:
What can the document repository do for you?
Why would you want to use the document repository in the first place?
How can you use the document repository for workflow forms versus
non-workflow forms in CMPRO?
What level of CMPRO users benefit from using the document repository?
In the past, Kerry has also taught CMPROficiency+ courses on General
Routing Documents (GRD) and Connecting, Navigating and Searching in
CMPRO.
