   Jobs in communication are widespread and provide communication majors more opportunities.


   “Opportunities outside of communication fields are available for graduates”,
    (McManus,T.,2011,p.17).


   Basic communication skills are important for any type of job and relations in that job.


   “Social media impacts our society as a whole leads to more roles for communicators for our future”,
    (McManus,T.,2011,p.17).
   Federal agencies are known for employing many people with communication majors
   “Job market for graduates of communication programs have improved between 2010 and 2011”,
    (Becker,L.B.,Vlad,T.,&Kazragis,W.,2011,p.3).


   “2010-68.5% of graduates had at least one job offer”,(Becker,L.B.,Vlad,T.,&Kazragis,W.,2011,p.4).
   “2010-49.8% of bachelor’s degrees reported having full time jobs”,

   “Field- Department of Defense hired 9,077”, (McManus,T.,2011,p.17).

  1. Script- communication jobs are broad which gives majors more job opportunities. A lot of opportunities outside of communication fields are available for CMAT majors because communication is needed in every type of major. Communication with your boss or co workers is very important, the way you talk, act and present yourself is what jobs look for. There are so many issues with social media which affects our society worldwide, example- Facebook and texting bullying. Federal agencies require very talented employees and they need communication majors who have the right qualities for the job. The picture is communication workers worldwide.
  2. Between 2010 and 2011 the job market for communication majors has improved and increased. In 2010 68.5% of CMAT majors graduates had at least one job offer, but many had more than one job offer. Also in 2010, 49.8% of communication majors with bachelors degrees had full time employment. The federal government is a very important institution in the field of department of defense they hired 9,077 CMAT majors for full time jobs. Also the leading job for communications which hired 6,113 CMAT majors. The picture on the left is the department of defense logo, and the picture on the right is telecommunications devices.
  3. Communication majors have many skills that all jobs look for. Being positive is very important in businesses. The picture on the top right shows how communication majors increases business opportunities. CMAT majors are creative thinkers, are able to research and they possess problem solving abilities. Communication is the key to success. The communication skills listed on this slide are what make communication majors very effective in their careers. If you don’t ask questions and listen you wont be able to be effective in your business and make your company the best it can be. The picture on the left is the steps in order to be a effective communicator and the picture on the right are co workers showing good communication skills in their work environment.
