  2. Karen: Slide. We’ll give you a brief indication of our mission, How you can engage on our website, And take you around the site. Opportunities for involvement with CML.
  3. Kathy: Intro. Creation of CML: CML was created to make systemic and give greater capacity to carry out the work of the Mentoring Institute, which was supported by people such as: Alan Mandell Frieda Mendelsohn Chris Rounds Susan Oaks Xenia Coulter Mayra Bloom, Cathy Davison, Brian Gabriel, Francis Murage, Robyn Silverman and Stephanie Thomas. We stood on the shoulders of all these individuals and others in developing the center and the website . Development of CML: CML was developed with a 16 member board over 2008-2009. Board members are from all roles, centers and programs. With the board, we have identified priorities and in the past year, developed a strategic plan. CML’s mission. Note: Using the term “faculty” to refer to faculty, PEs, administration and staff Slide .

Worked with advisory board and others to gather input… What would be helpful/needed to support faculty’s learning, development and renewal (as well as the connection and collaboration that we talked about earlier)? We took suggestions from the board, faculty, professionals (usability test). Used the suggestions to create a go-to site for resources, information, discussions and collaboration.   7. Karen: Intro. With help and input from our whole community, we are sharing resources, information, materials, bibliographies and more. We encourage you to send innovations, strategies and materials that you are willing to share. Add directly, for example, to our bibliographies (adult development; adult learning and mentoring; mentoring, teaching and learning; MT&L online; thinking of scholarship). Your contributions and engagement will bring the site to life, and make it a hub of communication, collaboration and connection. Slide.
  8. 15-20 minutes (1 minute per each) Follow web tour crib sheet Karen: Intro. So, now we are going to take you through the CML website. You can utilize a majority of the website without logging in; most is open to the public. Specific learning communities, discussion forums and other groups are open only to the ESC community, so a login is required there. Show where to log in (Join our community->create new account [only]). Karen and Kathy: Website (using crib sheet) Kathy: Reminder: We need your contributions and engagement for the website to come to life.
  9. Kathy: Slide. There are other ways to engage/get involved and benefit from the work of CML. Contribute to our work and be supported in yours. Contribute to US as a member of the CML Advisory Board. There are 16 board members. Nominate yourself to be a center/program representative, or to represent a particular community or group (CUSP, GSPC, DAS, DAR, assoc. deans, deans, etc.) We can support YOU through Faculty Reassignments. Newer faculty members are eligible ¼ release time for research and/or innovation in practice. Contribute to US as a Faculty Associate. Faculty receive ½ release time to: Share knowledge and experience Expand CML’s capacity Support your professional development. This opportunity is for experienced faculty.
