How to Change Your Marketing Luck this
Friday the 13th

It’s Friday the 13th
And between disappearing data,
fuzzy animal updates and pressure
to prove the ROI of social media,
as a lead gen marketer you might
feel like you’ve been given 7 years
bad luck.
So on this scariest of days, you’ve
got to ask yourself one question.
Do I feel
lucky?
Well, do
ya, punk?
But maybe just feeling lucky
is enough. As a wise man
once said, “I make my own
luck.”
So here are 5 ways you can
improve your marketing
luck.

other people and not

good luck, that everybody is
less significant, less
interesting, less important
than you are.”

Many people will tell you it’s important to
talk to your customers.
But listening to them is far more
critical and beneficial.
Social media is not for
broadcasting your marketing
messages.
Social media is an amazing
opportunity to listen to what people
are saying.
Make sure you’re present in multiple
channels and keep in touch with your
market.
Diversify

Diversify Your Channels
Relying on one channel,
especially Google, is dangerous.
You put yourself at their mercy.
Your entire business
becomes reliant on luck.
Invest time and money in new channels, it will minimize bad
luck and maximize your chances for good luck.
Be Bold

predictable. If you want more luck,
take more chances. Be more active.
Show up more often.”

Be Bold
Take a chance on something big and risky that has the potential to transform your
business. If you don’t give it a chance, you’re just sitting around and hoping.

Have the Right Attitude
Sometimes your luck may not come in the
way you were hoping or expecting. But that
doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
Everything you do has some positive effect, even if it’s just a little unexpected wisdom.
Look for those positives and be prepared to take advantage of them.

To know when you’ve gotten lucky, you
need to know why you want to be lucky.
Believe in your mission and what you’re
trying to accomplish.
It’ll be your guiding light.

what you do,
You’re already lucky.
