4. WHAT DOES CHIMICHURRI MEAN?
The etymology of the wordChimichurri is unclear.
One suggestion is it derives from ‘Che Mi Curry’ where:
Che is a familiar greeting in Argentina
Mi means my in Spanish
Curry is a sauce associated with Indian Foods
Another suggestion is that it could be named after someone called
Jimmy Curry or Jimmy McCurry.
Others think it could derive from the Basque word ‘tximitxurri’

5. WHAT DOES SALSA CRIOLLA
MEAN?
Salsa criolla has a more straightforward explanation for its name.
Salsa means “sauce” in Spanish and criolla means “creole.”
Argentina is a country of immigrants from Spain, Italy, and other
parts of Europe.
Los criollos were people of European descent (primarily Spanish
descent) born in Argentina and thus, the sauce is named after
them.
Today, it’s considered the “salsa of Argentina.”
