2. Colaboran
Viva Puluba nació en las navidades de 2008 como un proyecto familiar orientado a compartir nuestra pasión por la
música en vertientes y estilos muy diversos.
Poco a poco el proyecto ha ido evolucionando y ha adquirido mayor protagonismo el metal extremo, sin que por
ello hayamos olvidado (alguno) la larga serie de estilos, siempre surgidos de las entrañas, que siguen ahí, still alive &

En los últimos meses la actividad del blog ha bajado un tanto mientras hemos preparado este compilado que tenéis
entre manos; pero también mientras preparábamos la web, mientras repensábamos lo hecho y pensábamos qué
hacer. Ideas haylas. Así que aquí empieza una etapa nueva para nosotros. Esperamos que la disfrutéis.

3. La Religión del Rock Pesado surgió a mediados del 2007 con el fin de compartir ideas y
algo de música con devotos del rock más duro y riffero.
Desde lo bluesy de bandas íconos como The Experience, Cream, Steppenwolf, MC5 y
Blue Cheer al metal extremo, pasando por toda la evolución imaginable del hard rock
y metal.
La Religión del Rock Pesado ha publicado una serie de diez compilados “Metal From
The Middle East” presentando un amplio abanico de bandas metálicas del oriente
medio, desde Marruecos a Turquía, pasando por Arabia Saudí, Irán, Irak, Egipto, Isra-
el, Jordania, etc.
Recientemente ha publicado un compilado de bandas hispanas: Estruendo Hispano .

6. AGGRESSION nació en noviembre del 2005 en Barcelona. Los primeros miembros fueron Pol Luengo (Voz/Guitarra) y
Sergio Soto (Bajo). Ellos tenían muy claro desde el principio que el estilo que iban a tocar sería Thrash Metal. Poco des-
pués, entró Oscar Reka (Guitarra), quien quiso trabajar en éste proyecto thrasher. A principios del 2006 quedó final-
mente el line-up de la banda cerrado con la entrada de Sergio García (Batería). Desde entonces, empezaron a trabajar
duro con mucha ilusión, confiando en sus mejorías, tomando el buen camino, componiendo sus canciones y creando el
sonido de AGGRESSION.
Dos años después, pasados muchos conciertos, un gran número de experiencias musicales y de intentar hacerse un
hueco en el mundo del metal nacional, AGGRESSION presentaron en 2008 su primer MCD bajo el nombre de “Thrashing
Your Brain”, que recibió excelentes críticas a nivel nacional e internacional, que fue galardonado como el 4º mejor EP
de 2008 a nivel mundial por Thrash Unlimited (USA).
AGGRESSION firmaron en mayo de 2008 su primer contrato discográfico con el veterano sello madrile-
ño Xtreem Music (Avulsed, Necronomicon, Demigod, Hellwitch, Masacre, Andralls, Vidres a la Sang…)
para 2 álbums con una distribución y promoción a nivel mundial, el primero de los cuales fue lanzado
en Septiembre del 2009, bajo el nombre de “MoshPirit”, cuyo artwork fue diseñado por el legendario
ilustrador norteamericano Ed Repka (Megadeth, Death, Venom...) por primera vez en una banda espa-
ñola, y cuya mezcla y masterización corrió a cargo de Erik Monsonís en Jukebox Studios.
El recibimiento de “MoshPirit” está siendo excelente a nivel
mundial, recibiendo críticas buenísimas de todos los medios
nacionales e internacionales, como un disco que ha revoluciona-
do la escena de Thrash Metal en España.
Además, entre finales del 2009 y durante 2010, AGGRESSION
estarán de gira presentando su nuevo álbum, gira que han bau-
tizado como “MoshpiriTour”.
Estudiando la posibilidad de presentar su nuevo larga duración
también fuera de la península, en países cómo Italia, Alemania,
Francia e incluso fuera de Europa. AGGRESSION ha sido galardo-
nado recientemente con el título de “Banda de la semana” por
la prestigiosa radio de metal de Estados Unidos Metal Messiah
Radio, y su álbum ha sido catalogado como “Lo mejor del 2009”
según la veterana radio Senderos del Rock.

7. AGGRESSION was born in November 2005 in Barcelona. The first members were Pol Luengo (Voice/Guitar) and Sergio
Soto (Bass). They wanted to create a new band of metal, and the style was defined from the beginning, they wanted to
play Thrash Metal.
A time after that, they were searching for another guitar player, and they found Oscar Reka (Guitar) and Sergio García
(drums), who added the band, and the lineup get closed by very young musicians (between 19 and 22 years old) on
2006.
From that moment, they began to work hardly
with a lot of illusion, trusting in their improve-
ment, taking the right way, and creating AG-
GRESSION’s sound.
Two years after that moment, passed a lot of
shows, a very big number of musical experi-
ences, AGGRESSIO released on 2008 their first
MCD, that received excellent international re-
views, under the name of “Thrashing Your
Brain”, that was awarded the 4rth best world-
wide EP of 2008 by Thrash Unlimited
AGGRESSION signed in may 2008 their first re-
cord contract with the veteran label Xtreem Mu-
sic for 2 albums that will receive distribution and
promotion to international level, the first of the ones, that is called "MoshPirit" was released on September 2009,
whose artwork was designed by the legendary American illustrator Ed Repka (Megadeth, Death, Venom) for the first
time in a spanish band and which mix and master was done by Erik Monsonis on Jukebox Studios (Madrid).
The release of "MoshPirit" has been a great forward step for the band, and a revolution to the spanish thrash metal
scene, that became them one of the most important bands of the spanish metal scene, doing a tour playing in the most
important cities of Spain, like Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Murcia, Badajoz, Zaragoza, Valencia, Almería, Tenerife, Jaén,
Vigo, Ponferrada, and so on, sharing stage with bands like Napalm Death (Eng), Warrant (Ger), Flotsam & Jetsam (USA),
Onslaught (Eng), Avulsed (SP), Wotan (IT), National Suicide (IT), Crysys (SP) and a lot more, in addition to headline some
metal festivals across the country, like "Thrash Clash Festival", "Deeds of Metal Fest", "Thrashing over Valencia", etc.
Now AGGRESSION is working with their european booking & management agency “Metal Maniac” to do a European
tour on September 2010 in countries like Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia, Croatia, Bul-
garia, Romania, Hungary, etc and also planning to do a little tour in Japan on early 2011 with some international thrash
metal bands.

8. Desecration es una joven banda de Thrash Metal de Viladecans, en el Bajo Llobre-
gat de Barcelona (España) nacida como tal en el verano de 2009.
Toman su nombre del tema "Desecration of my youth" de Steelgar, banda de la
vecina localidad de Gavà, incluido en su álbum "Beware".
La historia de Desecration comienza en
2006 con un grupo de chavales de 14 años
que deciden formar una banda. El núcleo
de la banda ya era Albert Marcé como
bajista y cantante y Cristian Rodríguez y
Lucas Melcón a las guitarras. Si bien los
inicios son los de una banda de versiones,
la idea que les animaba ya era crear una
banda con sonido y temas propios.
Con diversos cambios en la formación, en
la que entran y salen diversos miembros,
la historia de los cuatro años transcurridos
es la historia de la consolidación de un
equipo en el que siempre faltó un batería que suplieron con algo de tecnología.
No es hasta primeros de 2010 que Raimon Roldan se une como batería y con el
queda ya cerrada la formación actual.
Durante la primera mitad de 2009, la ban-
da comienza la composición de sus prime-
ros temas que graban en un estudio casero a partir del verano de ese año en-
cargándose de todo el proceso de forma artesanal. De ahí sugen sus primeros te-
mas publicados en su MySpace: Face your
fear (agosto 2009), Molestation
(septiembre 2009) y Mental Anesthesia
(enero 2010).
A primeros de 2010, ya con Raimon Rol-
dan integrado en la dinámica de la banda,
Desecration ha comenzado a ofrecer con-
ciertos, en el último de los cuales han
compartido escenario con Steelgar, en el
Gavà thasher Fest.
En la actualidad, Desecration está ulti-
mando la grabación de "Mass Immola-
tion" ya presentada en directo y de nue-
vos temas para autoeditar su primera demo proximamente.
El logo de Desecration ha sido creado por Aleix Martí. El diseño de la camiseta ha
sido realizado por Ana Rebollo.

9. Desecration is a Young thrash metal band from Vilade-
cans, in the Bajix Llobregat of Barcelona (Spain) finally
born on summer 2009.
They took their name from the Steelgar’s song
"Desecration of my youth" included in the "Beware"
album.
The history of Desecration starts in 2006 when a
group of 14 years old guys decided to create a band.
The center of the band has ever been Albert Marcé as
bassist and lead vocals and Cristian Rodríguez and
Lucas Melcón playing guitars and back vocals. Even if
the first times they were a cover band their goal has
ever been a band with its own personality, songs and
sound.
The history of the first years is the tipical path to consolidate a team:
several changes in the lineup, lot of work but always with the lack of a
drummer. It’s at the start of 2010 when Raimon Roldan joins the band
and the lineup is finally completed.
2009 was a time to create Desecration’s first songs. These ones were
recorded from summer 2009 in a home studio in a complete self-m,ade
process. From these summer sessions came the first songs published in
their MySpace: Face your fear (august 2009), Molestation (september
2009) and Mental Anesthesia (january 2010).
On february 2010, when Raimon Roldan was fully integrated in the
band’s dinamics Desecration started to perform live. Their last concert
was at the Gavà Thrasher Fest where they shared scenario with Steel-
gar.
Currently Desecration is finishing the recording of "Mass Immolation", already perdormed live, and new songs in order to
aoto-edit their first demo record in the next future.

10. La banda comenzó a tocar en el año 1987 y grabó la primera demo en estudio en 1988, con unas influencias de
metal extremo, endureciéndolo más buscando la mofa y la risa.
Los títulos de las canciones están basados en los titulares de sucesos extraños del periódico "el Caso" que se
redactaba en la época. Desde los principios tuvieron mucho éxito debido a lo innovador y diferente a lo que
había. Sin darse cuenta estaban creando un estilo dentro del mundo underground a nivel nacional.
Esta Urkijo historia empieza en Viladecans en invierno de 1987,en esa epoca eramos
unos cuantos chavales a los que nos apasionaban bandas como VE-
NOM,MOTORHEAD,BATHORY y CELTIC FROST.
Compartiamos los mismos gustos musicales,nos intercambiabamos LPs y maquetas de
bandas undergrounds, hasta que un dia decidimos crear nuestra propia banda, "EL KA-
SO". El nombre se le ocurrio a POPEYE en honor a un periodico de sucesos de la epoca
que solia comprar en el kiosko, unos meses mas tarde le añadimos "URKIJO", fue la
epoca en la que la noticia de los marqueses de Urquijo asesinados era lo mas mediatico
del pais. BYRON tenia una guitarra que apenas sabia tocar, y eso fue determinante
para empezar a ensayar cuanto antes.
Queriamos hacer algo diferente a todo
lo que habiamos escuchado anteriormen-
te, nuestra idea era hacer lo mas burro
y bestia que el oido humano fuera capaz
de asimilar.
La banda se disolvió en 1996 por incompatibilidades
de horarios y discordancias entre los miembros.
Posteriormente, El Kaso Urkijo se reúne de nuevo a
primeros de 2009 para grabar su “La bañera fue su
nicho” y reiniciar su actividad en directo.

12. Ered nace en 1996 y desde entonces ha publicado varias demos, un álbum “Born
in a Frozen Hell” en 2004 y un MCD "Incarnated Horror" en 2008.
A lo largo de este tiempo, Ered ha realizado diversos conciertos con bandas co-
mo Necrophobic, Necros Christos, Proclamation, Foscor,...
Ered ha lanzado un split con Eldereon donde aparecen 4 temas grabados durante
las sesiones de 'Incarnated Horror'.
Ered toca Black Metal of Death. No esperéis musica original o tecnica, sólo que-
remos mantener viva la llama del metal antiguo, con absoluta furia, agresividad
devastadora y eterna ocuridad.
Ered was formed in 1996 and have since then released various demos, one al-
bum “Born in a Frozen Hell” in 2004 and one MCD "Incarnated Horror" in 2008.
During all this time, Ered have performed different shows with bands like Ne-
crophobic, Necros Christos, Proclamation, Foscor,...
In a few months, Ered will release a split with the band Eldereon where will ap-
pear 4 tracks recorded during the sessions of 'Incarnated Horror'.
Also, the band is recording the next full length which hopefully will be released
later this year.
Ered performs Black Metal of Death. Don’t expect original or technical music, we
want only to keep the ancient metal flame alive, with total fury, devastating ag-
gressiveness and eternal darkness.

13. La banda de Black Metal of Death ERED estan finalizando
lo que será su 2ª trabajo completo.
Constará en un principio de 7 temas más intro y aparecerá
de nuevo bajo el sello español GROTESQUE PRODUC-
TIONS, esta pieza de culto negro llevará por título
'Goatworshipping Metal'.
Para este nuevo trabajo ha contado para el artwork con
Daniel Desecration (Suicidal Winds, Bestial Mockery, Sat-
hanas, Shub Niggurath, Grave Desecrator, ...)
La grabación esta siendo realizada en Alamostudios, el
mismo que se utilizó para 'Incarnated Horror' y la masteri-
zación si no hay cambios de última hora se realizariá en los
Necromorbus Studios. Aun no hay fecha de lanzamiento
pero posiblemente vea la negra luz a mediados de año.

14. LUX DIVINA se formó en 1998 en Gavà, Barcelona (Catalunya-España). La base principal de nuestro sonido está
claramente marcada por el Black Metal nórdico de los 90, aunque con una visión propia de entender el senti-
miento, la oscuridad y la tradición en nuestras composiciones. Un sonido actualizado y en proceso evolutivo
trabajo a trabajo pero alejado de las modas cambiantes. Música en la línea más atmosférica, mística y épica del
Black Metal, todo ello combinado con ciertos paisajes sonoros cercanos al Metal progresivo, el Folk acústico o
el Doom épico.
Basado en la adoración y culto a la Madre Tierra y la enseñanza más mística del paganismo. El folclore, la poes-
ía y la filosofía de los autores que tienen lazos estrechos con el Espíritu universal de la Madre Naturaleza son
nuestra gran fuente de inspiración. Desciframos la cultura de nuestros antepasados en aras de un mundo más
acorde con nuestro espíritu de libertad. La sociedad de matices grises, la espiral de modernidad artificial y la
violación de las leyes naturales, son el cáncer del hombre actual perdido en la mecanización de su propio ego
industrializado y alejado de su esencia primordial. El hombre ha perdido el ritmo del cosmos. El hombre es el
mayor terrorista de la Naturaleza.
Con el nombre de Lux Divina bautizaron nuestros antepasados a la Luz Nocturna (Noctiluca) o el gran astro
muerto, la Luna: Luciferi Fanum, Lux Bella, Mâ-Bellona, Phosphoros, Artemis, Selene, Estrella de la mañana,
etc. Todas estas Diosas ancestrales están relacionas con cultos primitivos arraigados a la Naturaleza, la fertili-
dad, la muerte y los sacrificios, las mareas y las cosechas, la iluminación de los caminos y la adoración del cos-
mos en la noche oscura. Lux Divina es una de las muchas divinidades lunares asociadas con los cuerpos planeta-
rios a los que se rendía culto en la Península Ibérica, como así mismo a la diosa romana Diana, la Astarté feni-
cia o la Venus Griega.
Como cabe esperar no tiene ningu-
na relación con el concepto cristia-
no de la palabra. Siempre hemos
buscado el espíritu de rebelión y
contradicción contra todo dogma o
religión monoteísta, por lo tanto es
una hipocresía pensar lo contrario o
una falta de cultura no adentrarse
en la primera interpretación de la
palabra.

15. 1998 LUX DIVINA was created by Norax, Endymion (Lucifugum), Iván and Sergio, with the feeling to create a
band of atmospheric Black Metal. Under the paganism, theme where LUX DIVINA centered his attention since
the first moment, we find an attitude for life, attitude of respect and recovering of old forgotten values by the
modern men, who are inside the ravenous mass homogeneity. Values based on the individuality, respect and
proud towards the wild Mother Nature, before the throne of self freedom. So, a poetics based on our ances-
tors deeds, their old beliefs, traditions, cults and based on the Nature's throne and all the sensations she pro-
duce... Forest and mountains, rivers and seas, the mysticism of the elements from Beltaine to Samhain. Wors-
hip and sacrifice to Nature.
After the first year of work they recorded the first demo called "PAGANATURE" and the band entered in the
spanish Black Metal scene with a good introducing work. The band decided to improve and evolutionate the
style with more dynamism and atmosphere.
1999 the band got in contact with Fiar
(Foscor) and the line-up increased with one
more member centered in the keyboards
aspect. The band started to work hard in
new songs, and the style got more character
and strenght... the certain definition of this
period is that all the members were fascina-
ted with the kind of music they found, as a
continue discovering of sensations and ele-
ments to work with.
2000 LUX DIVINA recorded and self relea-
sed "OCCASUS CAEREMONIA", the first pro-
fessional album. There were moved 500 original copies, and more than 1000 plus the promo ones.... a great
spreading moment of the meaning and emotion the band looked for.
2002 After Endymion leaving the band included Daniel (Evilance), as new guitar... playing in a good concerts in
Spain and spreading the name through fanzines, and compilations around the world.
2003 LUX DIVINA return, with Falke (Foscor, Fayrierie) as new guitarist, and Wilhkiem (Foscor, Shemhamp-
horash)as bassist. They were very well knowed Black Metal spirits, so there were no problems to follow with
the band's ideas, style and feeling. With them, before the end of the year, is released the promo 2003 "Our
Lost Harmony", with 3 songs wich represents another step in the style evolution. After many personal pro-
blems. By that time the band enters a hiatus.
2004 BLOODY PRODUCTIONS offer a collaboration to release the last stuff composed, and as a compilation of
all the discography before created, in one Cd under the name "NEW DAYS FOR THE ANCIENT WISDOM".
2007 Lux Divina reborns from the grave with a new line-up:
Norax, Daniel, Sergio and the new souls in battle Grangreal (Argar, Spectre, Between the frost) and Iberian
(Doomsday, 7th child, Däm)....
2008 The band working on new material again and plays in liveshows with bands like Skyforger, Necronomi-
con, Avulsed, Ancient Foscor, Dantalion, Ered and many others ....
2009 After a tough year of hard work, on February we're recording our 2nd album will be entitled "FROM THE
TOMB TO NATURE'S BLOOD. It has been recorded, mixed and mastered in The Room Studios (Barcelona) By
Gorka Dresbaj and Jordi Navarro between february 14th and march 4th....

16. METRALLA empezó gestarse en el año 2005 con Pedruki (guitarra), Rodo
(guitarra) y Jorditxu (Bateria) a la cabeza que pasaron meses encerrados en el
local para componer los primero temas de Metralla ( Pk me sientas tan bien,
Como uno mas, Saber perder…), con una sola cosa en la cabeza hacer algo origi-
nal, diferente que no se quedase etiquetado en solo thrash metal si no en ME-
TRALLA.
El verano del 2006 incorporan a Golbano como bajista después de unos cuantos
ensayos de prueba les convenció sus ganas de tirar
para adelante y su motivación, y así pasaron a ser 4
los integrantes de METRALLA.
En primavera de 2007 tras alguna prueba fallida
con cantantes y después de escuchar una grabación
de voz de una versión de Slayer (Antichrist) que les
convenció lo suficiente para confiar en Berto para
poner voz a
los temas de
METRALLA, y
así quedo
finalmente
hasta el día de
hoy formado
el grupo ME-
TRALLA.
METRALLA started in 2005 with Pedruki (guitar),
Rodo (guitar) and Jorditxu (Drums) heading the
band..They spent several months working in the
first songs ( Pk me sientas tan bien, Como uno
mas, Saber perder…), with a goal in their heads: to
do something original, different, not to be labeled
only as thrash but as METRALLA.
During summer 2006 they recruite Golbano as bas-
sist when they where convinced, after several re-
hearsals, about his motivation to be the fourth
METRALLA member.
In spring 2007, after some failed trests with some
singers, they discovered Berto in a cover recording
of Slayer’s (Antichrist) and they complete their line
-up.

17. Pitchline Zine: “Fuego a la Barraca” viene presentada
de una forma muy humilde, pues más que nada la pro-
pia banda la está promocionando para darse algo a
conocer y que el nombre del grupo comience a estar en
boca de los amantes de éste tipo de sonidos. La demo
en si contiene 5 temas donde destaca por encima de
todo lo profesionalmente que esta registrado todo, así
como la calidad musical que poseen cada uno de sus
miembros técnicamente hablando.
Flesh Salad Fanzine: Macarrismo juvenil desde Saba-
dell. Curiosa la fusión de clásico Thrash Metal de la Bay
Area con elementos característicos del Thrash ibérico
de principios de los 90, o sea aquel ThrashCore con
letras reivindicativas o que narraban historias callejeras
con composiciones que destilaban cierto airecillo pun-
karra.
Thrash Metal Guide: A really nice demo of intense speed/
thrash of the old school with great melodies; "Fok A La
Barraka" will split you at the seams with raging fast
riffs, setting the tone for the remaining numbers which
keep the level high, sometimes turning into pure speed
metal ("Warra"), sometimes acquiring nice technical
tendencies ("Setas") in the best tradition of the Polish
Hellfire. This excellent demo simply screams for a full-
length...

18. SETGE se formó en febrero de 2006 cuando J.Luis Gonzalez (Bateria), músico muy experimentado y ex miem-
bro de bandas como Deathless, Sandalinas, Quívira y Killing Machine (banda tributo a Judas Priest] y Aamon
(Cantant) ex miembro de la banda de Girona Wintermoon decidieron formar una banda basada en Death Me-
tal i Black Metal pero sin cerrar la posibilidad de influenciar su sonido con otros estilos derivados del Heavy
Metal.
Durante los primeros meses, diversos músicos pasaron por la banda, nombres como Alvaro C. Guillen
(Cryogen), Miquel Llodrà (Deathless), David Saavedra (Lux Divina), Christian C. (La Matanza), pero sin mante-
nerse en ella. A mediados de aquel mismo año reclutan a Pablo Seijo (Bajo) ex miembro de
Quívira i al venezolano Alexander Nuñez (Guitarra) que había militado en Noxious en su país
y comenzaron a componer.
No es hasta enero de 2007 que se cierre el circulo de formación de la banda. Cuando Victor
Casado (Guitarra) un viejo amigo y ex compañero de J.Luis Gonzalez con quien había com-
partido tablas en su antigua banda Sandalinas entra a formar parte del grupo.
Inmediatamente debutan en el festival de musica extrema Kanya!!! a Sant Climent IV el 3 de
Marzo de 2007, pero Victor Casado no pudo asitir y fue sustituido aquella noche por el guita-
rrista Toni Phackner (Nada Suitte),; fue además la noche de la despedida del bajista Pablo
Seijo que había anunciado pocas semanas antes su marcha del grupo. En el mismo cartel
estaba la la banda de Brutal Death Metal Caustic, con Xavi Brossa al bajo que aceptó la va-
cante y entró a formar parte de la banda.
Con la nueva formación, el grupo continuó componiendo temas y realizando conciertos en
diversos locales por todo el país. También grabaron los temas que verían la luz 15 meses
después.
A principio de verano de 2009 Xavi brossa deja la banda i es sustituido por J.Luis "Johanson"
Castillo (Resilence) quien debutó en el Raventfest'09 en la sala La Nau de la capital catalana.
En noviembre de 2009 la banda lanza su primer disco "Cecs de ràbia.Cecs de dolor'', autoedi-
tado y grabado en ''AxStudios'' de Barcelona entre los meses de Abril y Septiembre de 2008.
Producido por Setge y Mr. Ax. La música esta compuesta por Alexander Nuñez y los arreglos
por Setge, excepto la intro que fue compuesta per Jose Luis Gonzalez y Vicen (Quatreros).
Las letras fueron escritas por Jose Luis Gonzalez i Aamon integramente en catalan y corregi-
das por Judit Pons (Kabal). El logotipo de Setge esta hecho por Xavi Brossa. Las fotos por
Judit Vericat y el Artwork de la portada, el libreto y el inlay por Albert "Pels" Pascual (Evil
Side).

19. SETGE was born in february 2006 when J.Luis
Gonzalez (drummer), quite experienced musi-
cian and ex-member of bands as Deathless,
Sandalinas, Quívira and Killing Machine (tribute
band to the legendary Judas Priest) and Aamon
(singer) ex member if the Girona's band Winter-
moon decided tio build a new band based on
Death and Black Metal but being open to get
influences on their sound from other heavy
metal based styles.
The first months of SETGE they were different
musicioans who joined the lineup but leaving
after all: Alvaro C. Guillen (Cryogen), Miquel
Llodrà (Deathless), David Saavedra (Lux Divina),
Christian C. (La Matanza).
Summer 2006 the lineup was completed when
they recruit Pablo Seijo (Bass) ex Quívira mem-

Immediately, the band debuted in the extreme music fest Kanya!!! a Sant Climent IV on March, 3rtd 2007.
But Victor Casado could not attend the concert and was replaced that night by Toni Phackner, Nada Suitte
guitar). That night was also the last one of Pablo Seijo with SETGE. Pablo had announced several weeks ago
that he will leave the band. But the same night Xavi Brossa, who was performing with his band Caustic ac-
cepted t6he offer to join SETGE on bass.
With this lineup the band continued creating songs and performing around the country. They recorded the
songs that, 15 months later, released in their first record.
Starting summer 2009 Xavi Brossa left the band and was replaced by J.Luis
"Johanson" Castillo (Resilence) who made his live debut with SETGE at the
Raventfest'09.
November 2009, they finally released their first record "Cecs de ràbia. Cecs
de dolor'', auto-edited and recorded at the ''AxStudios'' of Barcelona dur-
ing April to September 2008. Produced by SETGE and Mr. Ax. The music
written by Alexander Nuñez and the arrangements by Setge, except the
intro written by Jose Luis
Gonzalez and Vicen
(Quatreros).

20. STEELGAR es una banda de thrash metal con notables toques de heavy clásico formada en el año 2006 de la
unión de Cristian Zamorano, Àlex Amaya y Héctor Amaya, y en la que poco después se incorporó Abel Gonza-
lez.
Todos ellos compartían la idea de crear algo que se pudiera englobar bajo la eti-
queta del thrash metal americano de los 80, representado básicamente por ban-
das como METALLICA, MEGADETH, EXODUS, ANTHRAX o TESTAMENT. La inspira-
ción de STEELGAR bebe directamente, desde sus inicios, de la obra de las mencio-
nadas bandas de Thrash y Speed Metal de los años 80, así como del Power USA y
del heavy metal tradicional, reivindicando los riffs agresivos, voces rasgadas, solos
afilados y letras transgresoras.
La banda publicó a comienzos de febrero de 2007 su primera demo, titulada
“Thrashing Knights”. La maqueta contiene cinco temas originales de la banda y
recibió elogiosas críticas en medios especializados. Tras un año plagado de con-
ciertos, básicamente en la zona metropolitana de Barcelona pero también en
otras ciudades dentro y fuera de Cataluña, STEELGAR se dispuso a grabar un nue-
vo CD. Grabada a finales de 2007, la nueva demo de STEELGAR titulada “Beware”
salió a la venta en febrero de 2008 y supuso un salto de calidad y de proyección
para STEELGAR.
Y ya a principios de este año sacaron "Xenocide" su primer CD de larga duración
compuesto por 10 temas, 5 de ellos pertenecientes a sus 2 anteriores demos,
según la banda, dichos temas merecían un mejor sonido, ya que eran canciones
aclamadas entre los seguidores, así que se volvieron a grabar dotándolas de más
fuerza y calidad. Los otros 5 temas inéditos ya se han convertido en indispensa-
bles para los fans de STEELGAR, PROMONTORY, ARMY OF GOATS, INJECTED y compañía no pueden faltar en
ninguno de sus conciertos.
El grupo con este disco ha recibido reconocimientos de varias partes del mundo, Japón, Argentina, U.S.A,
México, Rusia, Alemania y un largo etc... Actualmente el grupo sigue con la promoción del disco. STEELGAR
ha compartido escenario con bandas conocidas como DESTRUCTION
(Alemania), LEGION OF THE DAMNED (Holanda), GAMA BOMB (Irlanda),
BONDED BY BLOOD (Estados Unidos), y bandas españolas como Avalanch,
Hamlet, Stravaganzza, Obús, Esclavitud, Ktulu, Vidres a la sang, Aggression,
Gauntlet, Unsouled, Rancor y los líderes del Thrash Metal español Angelus
Apatrida, por nombrar unas cuantas.
STEELGAR se sitúa perfectamente dentro de la importante ola de bandas
underground que practican un thrash metal típico de los 80, tanto en Espa-
ña como en todo el mundo. Las raíces clásicas del estilo no están reñidas
con la actualidad, como demuestra la popularidad vigente del thrash metal
no sólo en el número de grupos, sino en la creciente cantidad de seguido-
res que se están sumando. STEELGAR puede ser, por tanto, un nombre im-
portante en un estilo cada vez más popular.

21. STEELGAR is a thrash metal band with important flavours of the classical heavy metal started in 2006 from
the union of Cristian Zamorano, Àlex Amaya and Héctor Amaya, completed soon with Abel Gonzalez.
All of them shared the wish of build something to be considered under the american 80's thrash metal label,
mainly represented by bands as METALLICA, MEGADETH, EXODUS, ANTHRAX or TESTAMENT. STEELGAR's
inspiration comes directly from the works of that bands of Thrash and Speed Metal, as weel as from the Po-
wer USA and the traditional heavy metal, claiming for aggressive riffs, broken voices, sharpened solos and
transgressor lyrics.
The band released, on februery 2007, their first demo called “Thrashing Knights”. The demo includes five
original songs and got very good critics in specilized media. After a yer full of concerts, mainly in Barcelona
area, but also around Catalonia and Spain, STEELGAR started to record a new CD. Recorded at the end of
2007, the new STEELGAR's demo called “Beware” was released on february 2008 mening an important jump
in quality and projection for STEELGAR.
Finally, beginning 2010 was released "Xenocide", their first LP CD including 10 songs, 5 coming from the pre-
vious demos because the band thought they deserved better sound because were acclaimed songs for their
fans; then they re-recorded that songs with more ppower and quality. The other 5 new songs have becomed
a must for STEELGAR's fans, PROMONTORY, ARMY OF GOATS, INJECTED & the rest can't be missed in their
live shows.
With Xenocide, STEELGAR received acknowledgement in several counties around the world: Japan, Argenti-
na, U.S.A, México, Russia, Germany, etc...
Currently, the band is workingt on the Xenocide promotion. STEELGAR has shared scenario with bands as
DESTRUCTION (Germany), LEGION OF THE DAMNED (Holland), GAMA BOMB (Ireland), BONDED BY BLOOD
(USA), and spanish bands as Avalanch, Hamlet, Stravaganzza, Obús, Esclavitud, Ktulu, Vidres a la sang, Ag-
gression, Gauntlet, Unsouled, Rancor and the SpsniahThrash Metal leaders Angelus Apatrida.
STEELGAR is an important part of the new wave of underground thrash bands in Spain and around the world.
The classical roots of STTELGAR's style are not incompatible with the leading scene as is clearly demonsttra-
ted by the incresing popularity of thrash metal not only in the number of bands, but in the growing number
of fans following that music. STEELGAR can be an important name in that scene.
The band's name is inspired by Stilgar, character of DUNE by Frank Herbert.

cuerdas, corto, que te deja vendido para que "Retaliator" te arrolle con ese estilo marca de la casa
de STEELGAR, heavy/ thrash acelerado y veloz sin condiciones que resulta hasta coreable casi siempre, sin que
sea melódico, cuidado. Luego en cambio temas co-
mo "Riders Of The Sand", que ya aparecía en
"Thrashing Knights", nos muestran una faceta total-
mente heavy del grupo, con buenos cabalgueos y
buenas líneas vocales ...
MetalCry: lo más destacado de este disco es la im-
presionante colección de riffs con la que Steelgar
nos atacan en temas como “Injected”, “Riders Of
The Sand” (uno de mis temas favoritos del disco),

22. The Bleeding Sun nació de las cenizas de una banda llamada Ravensouls, que se había formada en Rubí
(Barcelona) el año 1996. Ravensouls grabaron una maqueta titulada “Burning flesh in raven’s possession” que
no se editó, pero después de varios cambios de formación (uno de los guitarristas se fue a Costa Rica, su tierra
natal, para formar December’s Cold Winter) la banda tomó un nuevo rumbo musical i decidió cambiarse el
nombre por The Bleeding Sun. Era el año 2000, y la banda dio una serie de conciertos destacables en la Sala
Mephisto y Sala KGB. Poco después grabarían un tema dedicado a Ravensouls que se titularía “The raven’s are
crying blood again”, y que apareció en varios recopilatorios recibiendo una buena respuesta.
The Bleeding Sun ya habían escrito por entonces un buen número detemas y había llegado la hora de grabar el
primer Cd. Pero antes de esto unos cuantos miembros dejaron la banda, y fueron Psycomoon (voces), Norvack
(teclados y violín), Bastard (guitarras) y Slave (bajista que también pasó a ocuparse de la batería) los que se
ocuparían de gravar “Nessare”, el primer álbum de The Bleeding Sun. Al mismo tiempo buscarían un nuevo
bajista y un nuevo guitarrista, puestos que recaerían finalmente en Phacks (guitarrista de Phackner) y Julkarn
(ocupándose del bajo). Para presentar “Nessare” la banda se lanzó a dar conciertos con grupos como Numen,
Nemesis Aeterna o Laments Of Silence. Además, la banda fue invitada al Iberian Black Arts Festival, algo que
representaba una gran oportunidad para la banda, ya que en el cartel había bandas como Dark Funeral, An-
cient o Avulsed. Desgraciadament el festival se suspendió a última hora. Poco después de esto Julkarn decidió
abandonar la banda, y The Bleeding Sun tuvieron que buscar una nueva persona para tocar el bajo.
El año 2002, habiendo adoptado a Uryol como bajista, la banda se
dedicó a la promoción de “Nessare” a nivel mediático. Se creó una
página web, se hizo la primera tentativa enviando Cds a discográficas,
el disco se pudo escuchar en diferentes emisoras de radio, y se pre-
sentó en algunas revistas y fanzines. “Nessare” recibió grandes críti-
cas, ni una de mala, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. A pesar
del buen funcionamiento de la banda, Phacks decidió centrar-se en la
suya propia, y The Bleeding Sun contaron de nuevo con Julkarn como
guitarrista durante un breve período de tiempo. Finalmente, fue Or-
kus quien tomó el puesto de segundo guitarrista. La actividad en di-
recto tampoco paró, y en esa época The Bleeding Sun llegaron a reali-
zar un buen número de conciertos en Barcelona, Girona, Sabadell y
Terrassa, con bandas como Vidres A La Sang, Oblivion o Drama. La
banda también participó en concursos como el del Golden Gloves de
Calella, de donde salió un nuevo tema titulado “On thorns you lay”

23. El año 2003 la banda participaría en el festival Avellana Rock (Constantí, Tarragona), con una cartel de bandas
españolas bien conocidas como Barón Rojo, Barricada, Tierra Santa y los tarraconenses Symawrath. En este
concierto la banda ya tocó mucho de los temas que iban a aparecer en su próximo álbum. Poco después de
participar en el festival, la banda decidió encerrarse todo el agosto en los Axtudio, regentados por Mr. Ax
(guitarrista de Asgaroth), para grabar “Damnatorium”, el segundo disco para The Bleeding Sun. Representaba
una nueva oportunidad de llegar a público, prensa y sellos discográficos, con un trabajo superior al anterior,
tanto a nivel de producción como a nivel de composición e interpretación.
A lo largo del 2003 y 2004 la banda siguió dando conciertos (Metal Zone, Carretera 13, Sala Clap) y componien-
do temas para un nuevo Cd, pero también han visto como dos miembros deciden abandonar la banda. Primero
fue Bastard, que quería seguir dedicándose a la música pero a otro ritmo, y finalmente Psycomoon, el que hab-
ía sido vocalista desde los tiempos de Ravensouls decidió dejar la banda el septiembre de 2004 por diversos
motivos de índole personal. Entonces Orkus se
convirtió en guitarrista principal, algo que se
notó en las nuevas composiciones, y entró el
vocalista Markvs, con un estilo diferente, pero
apropiado para la nueva dirección musical de
la banda, mucho más contundente que
“Nessare” o “Damnatorium”.
A finales del 2006 Orkus deja el grupo y la
banda se queda sin guitarra. A la espera de
encontrar un nuevo guitarrista se encierran
para componer nuevos temas.
En Abril del 2007 se incorporan a las filas de
The Bleeding Sun no uno, si no dos guitarras: Búfal (ex Nemesis Aeterna) e Isaac (Malaverany).
En junio de 2008 Markvs decide dejar el grupo para dedicarse a sus otros proyectos. Después de buscar dos
meses, podemos anunciar que ya tenemos nuevo cantante.
Después de un tiempo buscando, os podemos anunciar que hemos adquirido un nuevo guitarra en el grupo.
Proviene de Ars Maligna y lo podréis conocer como Duhkka.
THE BLEEDING SUN have been around for several years now, with their version of Symphonic Black/Death Me-
tal.
They have played dozens of concerts and shared the bill with well-known national and even international acts
(Avulsed, Numen, Kronos, Eczema, Vidres A La Sang, Dark Funeral, Ancient, and much more).
Their presence in Spanish and international media has been constant, they have received from very good to
excellent reviews of their albums and live shows everywhere and have gained a great recognition from the au-
dience if you consider that they have been releasing their material without having a label, but no impediment
for them to be well-known among the Spanish underground and many other countries.
The band has evolved throughout the years, beginning with their approach to what has been called Avantgarde
Black Metal (people compared the band to others like Arcturus, Emperor or Borknagar), then mutating to a
more personal approach that took place with their
second album “Damnatorium” , and finally, with
the last release of a third album called "Earth Qua-
ke Machine",
The Bleeding Sun emerges as one of the most po-
werful Black/Death Metal bands in Spain, with a
much more brutal and symphonic approach, pre-
paring to take over the world and letting the blee-
ding sun rise again.

24. VRADEMARGK es una banda de death metal, proce-
dente de Terrassa, Barcelona (Spain).
Nuestra primera demo THE END OF THE BEGINNING
editada en 2006, constaba de 8 temas que reflejaban
el recorrido de la banda hasta el momento, un cami-
no que empezó en 1999.
Esta demo nos sirvió como carta de presentación,
permitiéndonos realizar multitud de conciertos por la
península y recibir muy buenas críticas en medios
especializados como Hell Awaits, Heavy Rock, algu-
nos webzines, etc…
Hemos compartido escenario con muchas bandas
distintas y en muchos escenarios distintos, llegando a participar en la final españo-
la del “W:O:A Mettal Battle 2009”.
De toda esta trayectoria, ensayos, conciertos y des-
conciertos surge el último trabajo editado: TRANSI-
TION TO NOWHERE. La culminación de 3 años de
composición (un proceso largo debido a algunos cam-
bios en la formación) del cuál hemos quedado muy
satisfechos. Se trata de un larga duración de 12 te-
mas registrados en los AX Studios de Barcelona. En
esta ocasión, no solamente la parte compositiva ha
estado más trabajada, sino que el sonido también se
ha cuidado al detalle.
Por nuestra parte, sobran las ganas de componer la
música que nos mantiene vivos y poder llevarla a
cualquier rincón del mundo para que la gente la pue-
da escuchar y dis-
frutar.

We have shared scenario with lots of bands quite different and we took part on the Spanish final of the “W:O:A
Mettal Battle 2009”.
From all this years, rehearsal, live concerts and some disconcerts, come out our last work TRANSITION TO NO-
WHERE. Is the fulfillment of three years of composition (a long process due to some changes in our lineup) we
feel really satisfied. TRANSITION TO NOWHERE is a long play with 12 songs recorded at the AX Studios of Barce-
lona. In this case, not only the compositions are more worked, but also our sound has been carefully worked
We wish to continue creating that music that keeps us alive and bring it to each corner around the world.

También queremos dedicarlo a Juan "Raf" Pulido (1957-2010), batería de la Banda
Trapera del Río, que falleció el pasado 13 de abril y a los otros dos traperos a los que se
llevó el cáncer: los guitarristas Tío Modes (2004) y Rockhita (2005).
Y a todos aquellos que hicieron, hacen y harán posible que exista esta escena.
