       46 percent in 2005.

       losing a job and being diagnosed ill while overestimating
       personal achievement, family fortune and life span.

  Stare down hard reality
    Colleagues not sure I understand them
    Don’t know when I don’t know
    Get exponentially less information
    I am more isolated; talk to less people
    Interpreting visual cues is exhausting
    Lip reading seems impossible
    Doing job is far more difficult
    Successful career stopped in tracks
    Feel sick and off balance a lot
