Supervise and coach Store managers on a daily basis with regards to there daily functions of dat to day store banking,store
housekeeping check lists,systems updates and general guidance.
Responsible for Managing and reporting on Performance

Financial Management
Develop Monthly retail budget.
Authorization of wages,salaries,overtime and commission payable.
Assistin the annual auditof Blue Jean Retail stock takes
Retail banking queries for the finance department.
Operational Effectiveness
Manage the daily functions that are required for the Retail division,daily reports are run for the relevant departments,systems
are functioning correctly.
Review processes within the operational area ofRetail,to help streamline the workflows to HR,Finance and IT.
Drive initiatives for the Retail Store managers,in motivation and supportfor there functions.
Point of Sale System
Setting rights and restrictions for all users at store level. This is purely based on security to the system and the access to cost
prices and profit margins.
Creating user profiles ofall new staff on Integrity.
Creating of bar codes for all new styles for stock to be sentto the stores.
Creating of Inter Branch Transfers to the stores,this is an electronic receipton Integrity for stock to be receipted onto the
system at store level.
Ensuring thatall IBT’s are receipted at store level for accuracy of stock.
The monitoring ofTrader Connect, to insure that the store communications are notinterrupted.
Store Hardware
Training of staff in the use of the equipmentthathas been supplied,from scanners to business programs.
All hardware related issues are resolved in the bestpossible time to minimize system down time
Staff
Staff development,formulating sales or operational training plans for all staff at store level. Creating a sales manual to
effectively train all new staff in policies and procedures for the stores.
Managing a sett staff of 17 including Managers
Motivation of staff – regular calls to the stores during working and after hours,reporting the “who’s on top” figures during the
day.
Supporting of staff for personal and business reasons,this is onlywhen they are not comfortable in dealing with the
Operations Manager or if the issue has been passed on to me.
Staff retention in conjunction with the retail manager.
Sourcing of new sales staffand store managers.
Interviewing of all permanentstaffmember prior to the introduction to the Blue Jean Retail Directors.
Negotiation ofsalaries and commissions for the relevant staff member and forwarding our suggestions to the director for
approval.
Employmentcontracts ofall staff at store level
All discipline and non conformance issues that are raised,Retail Manager advises the problems and Idecide the correct
manner in which to deal with the issue on hand,so to suitthe needs ofthe business.
Stock Management
To ensure that all correct stock is finalized on Integrity and is available to the planning departmentin a reasonable time frame.
Retail manager reports all issue pertaining to stock from incorrect bar codes to incorrectly transferred stock from store to store.
Policies and Procedure
Formulating ofpolicies and procedures,for all retail operations from banking,to stock takes,customer returns,exchanges,
refunds etc.With the approval of the Financial Director
Driving constantimplementation ofthese policies atstore and head office level
