Death toll reaches 68 in Kenya's mall attack.Islamic extremists burst into the mall and opened fire in a deadly attack on September 21. Kenyan government and Western diplomatic sources said Al-Shabaab militants were holding about 30 hostages inside the shopping centre on Sunday. Al-Shabaab is linked to the rebel group Al-Qaida claimed responsibility for the attack in which they used grenades and assault rifles and specifically targeted non-Muslims.In a televised speech late Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said "We shall hunt down the perpetrators wherever they run to,“ and "We shall get them, and we shall punish them for this heinous crimes."

Cagayan De Oro City -A sufficient rice stock in Northern Mindanao, especially in the key cities, was assured by the Region -10 office of the Department of Agriculture (DA-10). The DA-10 said stocks at the various warehouses and other designated areas of the National Food Authority in the cities and provinces of Northern Mindanao stands at 354,339 metric tons of palay “We have ample supply of rice for our consumers in the region,” said DA-10 Director Lealyn A. Ramos. She said the supply came from the 82,110 hectares of farmland in the region, which is 63.08% of the total area planted.
